ZEBULON, N.C. — A 10-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital after being ejected from a car during a crash on U.S. 64 on Saturday morning.

Seven people were inside the car when it crashed around 9:40 a.m. The 10-year-old, one of two people ejected, was taken to the hospital by helicopter.

North Carolina State Highway Patrol said all seven people in the car were injured, but most of the injuries were minor. A trooper said the car had a tire blow out, causing the vehicle to flip over.

Both eastbound lanes of U.S. 64 were closed around Exit 439 in southern Franklin County as authorities worked to clear the crash.

Speed was not determined to be a factor.
