There is no question that summer is in full swing. If you haven’t finalized your summer travel plans yet, it's not too late!

There is no question that summer is in full swing. If you haven’t finalized your summer travel plans yet, or you’re thinking about squeezing in another trip before the season is over, it’s not too late!  Travel industry expert and award-winning author, Sarah Dandashy, shared some insights on new destinations, cool hotels, and how to maximize your vacation dollars.
When asked about this year's travel trends, Dandashy said it's all about traveling with intention. She said, "Americans are seeking longer trips, averaging 5-6 days length in stay (stats from a recent allianz study). Beaches and cities are the top destinations. Los angeles being a prime example."

Dandashy said the hotel experience can really enhance a vacation. "Where you stay is a big part of the vacation experience–so maximize it and stay at a property that really adds to your vacation."  Timing is important, too. "It’s all about when you travel," said Dandashy. "August is a good time to travel. Double up on earning points, stack your earnings with credit cards and hotels or airlines."  For more information, or to book your next vacation, visit www.marriottbonvoy.com.
