Sons of Liberty Alehouse

Son's of Liberty is exactly what San Leandro needs as it's demographics starts aging younger.

I've been coming here periodically since they opened and my experience is consistent.

Parking may be challenging to find. It's next to Safeway and Safeway parking is not enough for Safeway. Now there's a brewery near and other restaurants, you should take the first parking spot you see.

The restaurant is small, they may have 2 dozen tables inside and another dozen outside. So bring your patience if your coming during brunch or happy hour.

In our last visit we arrived about 830 pm and the wait staff were sitting at the back of the bar. They took a few minutes to address us, but we were seated quickly. Our server was quick to respond and memorized our order and got all the substitution correct.

Honey ordered the Rosey Cheeks and it was really smokey. Good once you get past the smokey flavor. I had the Apple Cider Moscow Mule, 5 stars.

Honey went for the burger which is always good. You can't fail with the burger. I had the Brisket Nachos. The brisket was go good. It just melted in your mouth.

I've tried other menu item and the only one I didn't like was the fish and chips. The beer batter was a little too much and the fish was under seasoned.

Overall Son's of Liberty is a great restaurant and bar. Their is close to 0 disappointment with the food and staff. It now a San Leandro staple and I hope the expand to a bigger location.

Service was slow and inattentive (our service) , had a water downed cocktail, chicken sandwich kinda blah (4 different people say same thing) can't be just me!!

Like the atmosphere of smallish restaurant (much needed in area) but parking lot is a bit of a zoo!!

Prices are average for area.

Mens Restroom tiny and uncomfortable.

Very nice Sunday brunch menu. I've also been there on other days of the week, and the food is delicious. I like to try speciality cocktails, and several of those served at Sunday brunch, and regularly are fabulous, but I recently discovered smoked old fashioned's in Reno and on a cruise ship - and would love, love, love if those were offered

I met my friend here after I had an appointment.

We decided to sit outside where a homeless man "serenaded" the customers. Not much you can do about it, but we were far enough away from him.

Drinks were good and we split appetizers.

I didn't use the restrooms (can't rate it).

Didn't sit inside, but there was ample seating and good for people who want to watch what's on the TV. Or for large groups/families. I would go again.

Garlic fries were super. Mainly went here to grab a beer and maybe a burger. The burgers were good. The rose cider was good. My kids devoured their food, so no complaints there. Want to try the poutine next.

Came at least 25 minutes before brunch was over but was seated like 5 minutes before and we could only order from the limited menu. So was bummed.

Customer service and being attentive to customers is lacking in a lot of ways.

No table setting and even when food was brought still didn't get it. I had to ask but one of the other employees who brought it was nice and did apologize.

Ordered mixed drinks- Small glasses and it all was just ice! Not worth it!

The brunch food I did see others eating did look delicious. Only reason I would go back because I really would like try their brunch menu.

Piece of advice: offer water and at least 1 menu items for dogs.

Good service. He did a good job, upgrading his place to what it is now in the middle of San Leandro downtown. You can find a great place to have food and amazing cocktails enjoy.

This place is a brewery style restaurant with fantastic food , knowledgeable and courteous waiters. A when I was there it was very busy. I recommend you try this restaurant....You could tell somebody cared about my food in that kitchen .Thank you.

Wow, the food at SOLA is really good! We have been living in SL for more than 5 years and we finally got around to try them. Service is really good and the servers are all very friendly. We tried a number of dishes and we loved the Poutine w/Duck Carnitas, Fried Crispy Baby Back Pork Ribs, Chicken Wings and Hot Artichoke & Jalapeño Dip.

Ended up coming back a week later, because I was craving the Poutine and Crispy Baby Back Ribs! Try it one time and I know you'll be a fan of SOLA too!

Was looking for a place to have lunch that also had good craft beers on tap and found this place. The service was excellent, never had to wait for the servers to come around, rather relaxed lunchtime atmosphere with the nostalgic 90's music ambiance. We ordered several appetizers to share, and everything had great flavor.

Also, I really appreciate the restrooms being clean. Really says they care about their establishment and service.
