Bill is a great and easy going guy. He's truthful and makes sure that you get bang for your buck. The way he welds is awesome especially when i changed my muffler and a mid muffler delete. I definitely trust him and will come back in the future

Came to the shop after reading all the good reviews on yelp about Bill and his work and I'm glad I did, I brought my truck in to get a Flowmaster muffler put in and Bill did an awesome job and his customer service was excellent, thanks so much Bill for a great job and even better customer service. I'm definitely going to bring my vehicles here again and recommend everyone I know to you in the future... awesome Dale Earnhardt collection he has in his shop.....

I needed my new headers hooked up to my existing exhaust system. I had a similar work done on another one of my cars at a shop in the east bay and it looked horrible. Bill knows what he is doing and it came out great! Hard to find a quality exhaust shop!

Bill the man! He's a magician because he'll know what you want for your car. I called him, he was a good conversationist. He's approachable and he'll explain to you step by step of what he's going to do to your car. And he'll also give out great suggestions! I brought in my 2017 Ford Mustang EcoBoost, and he did a muffler and resonator delete. I left his shop sticking my head out of my window screaming of joy. Bill will always be the guy on the job for exhausts! I'd go to him again if I want to do anything else with it!

30 years of experience in muffler and exhaust work. That's his specialty and he does it well. Bill knows all the tricks of the trade that come with that experience. He's a car enthusiast and it shows in his work. This isn't the cheapest shop in town, but very reasonable and competitive prices.

I don't let random people touch my car, especially shady discount shops with employees that don't take pride in their work. If you're looking to get work done right and the first time then call Bill.

Bill runs a one-man show at South City Muffler, and it's a d@mn good show.

Came in to have a resonator welded into my exhaust system's midpipe to quiet it down a little bit, and you can see his expertise with the level of craftsmanship/quality of the welds. He was sure to walk me through all of the steps he was taking. Bill was meticulous and very though, but wasn't a slowpoke by any means. I was in and out within an HOUR (so fast for a custom job).

Unfortunately, I wasn't satisfied with the sound the additional resonator produced (but wasn't by any means Bill's fault). The sound was simply a by-product of the resonating frequency produced by my car's engine and the rest of the exhaust system. I called up Bill the following day, and he worked with me to slot me into his earliest opening to reinstall a straight piped section (which was quite a bit more STRAIGHT forward than the prior... pun intended).

TLDR: Bill's a great guy. He tell you things straight, and has many, many years of experience doing great work. He's also great company to have a conversation with. He's pretty popular (for good reason), so call ahead to make sure he's available before just dropping by.

Just came back from South City Muffler. If you want to deal with a place that is like a muffler sweat shop; you come in then come out as quickly as possible with work that is subpar, don't go here.

If you want to watch an artisan at work, GO HERE. Bill, the owner is a standup guy and enjoys what he does. And I really enjoyed watching him work his magic on my car. I had a muffler installed with new tips and the welds were just beautiful. It made the stock muffler look like rubbish. Seriously, if you want someone that takes their time to make sure you are happy with the results, you will not go wrong with this place.

You pay for what you get. Quality work done here. I came in with my 2013 Honda Civic lowered on Megan Racing Coilovers and without an appointment. He gladly accepted my walk in and I told him I wanted to do a resonator delete and weld on my Skunk2 Megapower muffler. He said he couldn't do the muffler today but will be able to do the resonator delete. He put down wooden boards to get my car on the rack and finished cutting and welding a pipe in place of where the old resonator use to be and I was out of there in like 30 minutes. He told me to call him tomorrow so we can do the muffler job.

I called him around 945 in the morning and he said he already had a car on the rack and would be able to get me around 1130/12. I came in at 12 and finally got my muffler installed, and wow. It sounded amazing and if you look at Bill's welding job, he does an amazing job. He knows what he's doing and a very friendly person. Definitely recommend him to anyone that needs work done! High quality work!

Bill to the rescue again !

After dislocating my muffler, Bill was able to access the problem, perform the repair, and get me "out" within an hour. He even scheduled me between jobs so I didn't have to take a day off from work---couldn't ask for more.

Many thanks for his professionalism and "accomodative" style.
The price was great and our conversation (while waiting) was the best.

No need to look elsewhere when it comes to "muffer" issues. He loves his work and it shows (40 years in the business--perseverance).
