Jorge's Tree Service

These guys are great. I used them to clear away brush and trees by a home I lived at in Homestead Valley several years ago, and now I moved to a new home in Mill Valley that needed some serious tree pruning and removal. Jorge and his team have an amazing work ethic and it is amazing how fast they get so much done. They also carved a walking path we requested into the hillside above my house which looks great, and they lined it with tree trunk sections from a tree they removed- great idea!! They did a great job.

Jorge was very prompt in giving us a quote and arrived on time with his team. They did a great job trimming all the trees on our property. The only issue was Jorge was not there to manage the guys the whole time (he was at another job site), so one the branches falling down from a taller tree hit our struggling pluot tree and took out a branch that was a prime producer of yummy fruit. They also chipped all the wood that we had asked be cut into logs for our woodpile so we ended up with only a few pieces by the time we noticed. Jorge apologized and offered to plant a new tree or give us a discount which we thought was reasonable. He personally trimmed our Japanese maple which apparently are more delicate trees and did a good job. His pricing was comparable and maybe a little less than the other companies we checked out.

I am mainly writing this for other people to have a heads up that you should get the quote from Jorge IN WRITING before hiring him! I had a couple of quotes where Jorge was only average pricing, but I hired him because I liked him, he was very understanding at the time of assessing my yard requirements and he seemed trustworthy. Unfortunately, on the day of the tree/yard work Jorge seemed to be having an off day. The crew worked hard but Jorge cut about 5 corners in the work he had promised. When I talked with him about our agreement he denied ever agreeing to all of the issues I brought up. He was completely unconcerned with going back on the agreement and instead just insisted I must be confused. I am glad my husband was there at the time we initially talked with him as he can confirm Jorge changed the agreement. When the crew left I felt cheated. Let my mistake benefit the others looking for tree work. Don't do what I did and trust without a written agreement!

Amazing job!!! We had a huge oak tree that was leaning on our house, Jorge's crew took the whole thing out in a day, cleaned everything up, and left everything neat. They were respecteful ,polite, punctual, and professional. The price he gave me was great too. Highly recommend them!

I fully recommend Jorge and his team. Responsive, super efficient, more than fair pricing, and all-around good guys. He's our go-to-guy for landscape and tree work from now on. Jorge is a true professional and I'm grateful to have found him.

The five star reviews for Jorge and Co. continue. Jorge came out on a contract with the San Rafael city fire inspection team to chip up our juniper. They were doing such a great job that we then asked if they wouldn't mind also grinding up the juniper stumps and taking out a few more sick trees and their stumps. The team stayed straight through until they were done -- after 7 pm -- working efficiently and doing a great job avoiding some tricky obstacles in taking down the trees. They gave us a very fair price, and were friendly and easy to work communicate with. Thanks, Jorge and team!

We had a massive Black Acacia perched at the top of an embankment break off an enormous limb partially blocking the street below ours. The fire department cleared the limb, but the tree was obviously a safety hazard and had to be removed quickly. After seeing the positive reviews for Jorge's Tree Service on Next Door and his 5 star rating on Yelp (over 80 reviews), I called Jorge. He was extremely responsive and understood my safety concern and got the job done on very short notice. He is professional and extremely nice and has a good crew. He is insured and gave me a fair price. I trust him. This was a very difficult and urgent job and I would definitely rate it a 5 star service. This is my first Yelp review and I am only reviewing because I had such an amazing experience with Jorges Tree Service. We had been putting off trimming/cutting the trees because we knew it would be expensive. Jorge was very pleasant and he was the most reasonably priced. He came when he said he would and his team was very professional and polite. They did the job quickly and efficiently. They were going to end their day after working a long day but realizing it would rain the next day, they did not want to leave us with a muddy mess. They worked into the late evening and finished the job in one day. I was impressed with how well they cleaned and they also cleaned the mess the trees caused in my neighbor's yard. I will only call Jorge for any tree service.

Jorge and his team did an amazing job. Throughout the process, Jorge was super responsive, clear, and friendly. His prices were totally fair, especially given the fact that it was a big job. On the day of the service, he and his team pulled in and got right to work. It was amazing to watch them in action, how professional they were in handling the very challenging task of climbing, cutting, and safely and carefully bringing down huge branches. Always friendly and on point in the process. I will definitely call on Jorge in the future.
