Convenient location to make a quick stop to fill up. They have a Loop attached to the gas station so you can also go inside and fuel up on snacks and drinks. Prices are reasonable, cheaper than some of the other stations in the area, and plenty of filling stations available - I was able to grab one easily on a weekday morning.

The location doesn't always make it easy to get out of the station and get into the lane that you want to be in though - Gellert can get really busy during the day. So you might need to plan on making some u-turns to get back to where you need to go.

On a Wednesday afternoon, I had to meetup with a coworker in Daly City. We decided to meet at the Shell Gas Station at I-280 x Hickey Blvd. I got there first, waited about 15-mins, and had time to get gas, use the restroom, and checkout the food mart. I didn't use the car wash because it's a mechanical car wash. Yes, I noticed most of the poor Yelp reviews are about the car wash. Mechanical car washes that use rollers and brushes damage the finish of your vehicle. But car wash users get a 20-cent discount on gas. So you have to choose if it's worth it.

Okay, otherwise how was the gas station? This station has a single row of pumps. That means no one will get in front of you and block your car. It's a relativity spacious station with room to move. The food mart is clean and shiny. Well stocked with all kinds of goodies a driver might want. Stuff like drinks, chips, candy, ice cream, and hot foods. Friendly ladies working as cashiers, and other staff are cleaning and stocking. There's two "all gender" restrooms that use codes for entry.

I had a fairly good experience at this Shell station.

Good location right adjacent to the I-280 ramps. Kaiser Medical Offices (Daly City) are across the street.

Basic human courtesy, you'd think it was common right? But the gentleman who works at this location (older guy with glasses, possibly of Indian descent?) for one reason or another is incredibly rude and condescending. This proves that being courteous is definitely not so common.

Twice now has he made myself and other customers feel as if we were the ones making errors with their pumps when in fact the card readers on several pumps don't actually work. Whether it be a glitch causing some cards to be unreadable to maybe them trying to force customers to have to pay inside for who knows what reason, having to deal with that associate is really upsetting. I can understand human error and if I make a mistake I own up to it. However, it doesn't justify him being so incredibly rude.

To the Shell Corporation, if by some miracle you read this, I'd recommend either having that associate let go or at least have him go on probation until he completes a required customer service training.

I'm upset that this made me sad enough to actually write a review.

This review is for the gas station and car wash. General overview: 2 fueling stations were down at the time I was there around 3pm on a Monday. 5-6 cars waiting for a car wash.

Once I jumped in line for the car wash, it took about 20 minutes before it was my turn, by that point, 6 more cars lined up behind me. The instructions are posted to the right of the entrance of the wash. I had pre-picked the $8 option (2nd to the last of the simplest option), the machine lets you punch in the authorization code on your receipt ahead of time even when the car ahead of you is still mid-wash. Follow the lights once you're inside and turn off your engine on red, but I see some cars choose to keep their engine running. Overall a so-so experience.

Review for air and car wash.

I went to pump air into my tires and was quite disappointed. By law, you're supposed to provide free air and water for fuel but not only did you have to pay ($1.5 for 3 minutes) but the card machine for it didn't even work! Just so you know, Chevron has a free one, so go there.

Car wash at Shell is actually cheaper than Chevron and has more options. I always opt for the $7 one because it's all I need. The best thing is you can pay at the front of the car wash, in case you were t planning to buy gas. The wait can be long so go during off peak... I believe you should account 7-15 minutes per car ahead of you.

I've been coming to this location for the convenience of the spot, yet after today visit will not be returning as their supposed staff treated me poorly as if I'm stupid telling me when I can enter the car wash code like it makes a difference whether it's inputted before the current car is getting washed or whatever! This is a formal complaint about the store management Rocio. This lady has absolutely no skills to be a store management.

On the evening of November 24th, I took my car to the car wash at this location which is located at 398 Gellert Blvd.

When I finished washing the car and went back to the garage, something terrible happened. I found a lot of scratches and paint peeling on the front right side of the car, my car even went from a shiny finish to a matte finish. I immediately went back to gas station and tried to report the issue to their staff, But I was told that their manager wasn't there, none of these people knows how to handling my situation, they asked me to come back and talk to their manager on Friday.

On Friday afternoon I returned to the same place and was told that their manager was not there. After some tossing and turning, I was told that their manager worked at another store which is located at 390 Hickey Blvd. I reached out to the management Rocio by phone and tried to explain my situation to her, but instead of trying to understand the cause of the matter, she was very indifferent to me and told me that they're not responsible for any damage caused by the car wash.

I had to go to her place of work and show her how my car was doing. She threw the car wash incident report form right in my face instead of saying Hello. I took her to my car and tried to show her where it had been scratched, but was met with a cynical look on her face, she even tried to pass the buck by saying that the scratches on my car weren't from their car wash. Really? Rocio, do you really think you will knows my car better than myself? She even tried to tell me that they posted a disclaimer outside the car wash and told me that I can go to take a photo if I like. But hey! However, the disclaimer does not mean that you do not need to maintain your equipment to cause all this damage to my car even though I have followed the rules. All right, I completed the car wash incident report form and asked her when I would hear back, but I was told " I DON'T KNOW" on every single question I had asked after I had the incident form get completed. "Nothing else I can do it for you, your situation are took over from our corporate office now" she said.

Mrs Rocio, as a store manager, do you feel your attitude, your ability to work, and your customer service are really what a manager should be? Based on your attitude and ability to deal with problems, I will definitely follow up my situation, if you don't want to deal with it, I'll deal with your corporate office, if your corporate office doesn't want to deal with it, I'll go over to the Best Business Bureau. Because I believe customers should be treated as they should be treated.

Be prepared to be in line for 25-30+ mins. Machine doesnt take payments. So pay inside before being in line.

Car came out the other side of the car wash covered in soap suds. Went inside to complain and was told that a few suds was inevitable, as this wasn't a professional hand wash. If you take a look at my photo, this was not a few soap suds. This was going to drown my black car and look worse than it did starting. They begrudgingly let me run it through again. Still came out with soap suds. I drove away. Going to take it to a different car wash tomorrow.

Covered in soap suds after two attempts.

I always come here because it's Shell and one of the cheaper locations to get gas :)

It's connected to loop, which has a car wash that was packed when I went. And I'm on the quest to find a good car wash location, this place isn't too bad! When you pay for your gas, you have an option to get a car wash, you click yes, choose from 4 types of washes (descriptions of them are at the top of the machine) and you get a receipt that has a code which you punch in right before you enter the car wash.

I really liked that I received a discount of .10/ gal on my gas with the purchase of a car wash!

This place is pretty cool, considering it's Shell and has more spots for cars than the usual gas station.
