Ace Glass

Reached out to Alex in 2022 for a quote to replace double pane glass. He arrived and took measurements of the failed glass on the windows. Alex mentioned needing scaffolding for the replacement glass and not being able to source the exact low e glass tint for the replacement. Instead he recommended I reach out to other SF companies for quotes.

I wish I called other reputable window and glass companies along the Peninsula first. I was able to find a solution with a window company in Burlingame.

Bizarre. Asked Alex for a bid and he refuses to give me a bid because the shower pan is not installed. I sent him photos of a shower pan that IS installed. He continues to believe that I DON'T have a shower pan. It's like we live on different planets. Be careful with communication - this contractor clearly has poor communication.

I have other bids from glass contractors and Ace glass was the only one that doesn't understand that my bathroom is ready for glass installation!

I can't believe how unprofessional this company is. I called and spoke with Alex on a Tuesday and asked for a commercial window replacement estimate that we needed a replacement for asap. He said he can do it the following morning as the place was right around the corner from where he lives and he would be able to give me an estimate that same day! I emailed him all the info and no reply! I called to see if he received it and the lady that answered specifically said he for sure got it. I gave it a couple of days and still no response from him so I called Thursday and he said he'll do it over the weekend. Ok, I patiently waited till Monday and still NOTHING!!
Save your time and energy as this place sucks!!

We ended up going with **J&D glass**. They were so professional and prompt. They came out the same morning that i called to take measurements and provided an estimate the same evening. Got the job done within a week, did an excellent job and was overall amazing!!

Provided a fake quote on the call for $300-$500. Once I brought my mirror into the shop I was quoted almost $900. The quote on the call, I provided dimension, and expected service (including pictures) which was consistent measurement so there was absolutely no reason why the quote would be almost double.

Immediate response, super fast turnaround and fair price on a large glass table top. Highly recommended

Had an old frame laying around and decided to make it into a mirror! They offered to get it done within a day and for a very good price. The workers were very friendly and helpful in answering my questions.

No reason to call any other glass company, this is the best hands down. I'm still waiting for two other companies to 'get back to me' and the job was completed this am by Ace Glass. Excellent service.

I needed 3 sets of double hung windows replaced at my restaurant. I had asked 3 different venders who each quoted prices at over 3 times the cost. Even with the slow lead times due to issues in the chain supply, they arrived quicker than estimated and installed immediately. I've had bad windows in the past with poor craftmanship. Not with Ace Glass. The attention to detail and the quality of the work provided exceeded my expectations.

I had a kitchen window break while I was out of town. I had SF Ace Glass come out. I ended up asking them to change the glass packs out of my kitchen windows because they had decorative internal cross hatches. They ordered the glass and came out and changed the glass out in my vinyl windows. The change was amazing so I had them do my living room too.
If you have windows with internal cross pieces in them you will not believe how much nicer non obstructed glass is.

Ps in case anyone has been under a rock since 2020, the supply chain is borked and things take longer these days. Having said that Ace Glass was communicative and easy to schedule with.
