I have a damaged rim from sitting on a flat tire, can they swap the tire and TPMS sensor over to the new rim?

      A:

They certainly can and will. They’d probably charge something like 20 bucks. Be wary if they offer to do it for free though. They’ll rush and mess something up. Make sure… more

After almost two years since purchasing my tires, I called to have my tires rotated. I made an appointment for the next day, no problem.

I arrived about 30 minutes before my appointment, checked-in and within 15 minutes, my Jeep was in the bay.

John, the fellow in charge of my Jeep's service came to meet me to confirm that the work to be done was for tire rotation. He also said that they'd rebalance my tires.

In about 40 minutes, the job was done and a totally unexpected perk happened. They polished the sidewalls.

I couldn't be happier with how smooth, professional and hassle-free this all went. You can't beat that kind of service, hospitality and good cheer.

Thanks John and for your crew. See you all next time. :-)

I have always had great customer service from Americas tire , until recently . About a year ago I purchased 4 brand new all season tires from America's tire. I decided to splurge a little bit because the knew thew customer service was great and spent around $1200 on new tires .

Yesterday I ran over screw and it punctured my tire . I was on the freeway and the whole tire blew. And even though the tire was still under warranty , they would not cover the tire because I did not purchase the certificate for a blowout . They did give some money back and wanted me to pay another $120 for a new tire. That made no sense to me so I told the salesman to just put it on the rim and I'll install it myself. I asked if I can get a good tire for a deal cause this one blew out but was still under warranty, and he brought me the cheapest tire with no rim and said here you go and would only charge me $1.75

Then I asked if he was going to install it on the rim and he said I'll have to charge you for that . So he charged me for installation and I went and stated jacking up my car, myself in their parking lot . I took off my spare tire with the car still on a jack , and then another guy, possibly the manager , came out.

He told me that he would have to finish the installation or he might get into trouble . I told him that I was just doing what the other guy told me to do . He went ahead and finished it and I greatly appreciate that. Hence the reason for the 3 stars , and I know they have great service, but I'm hoping this wa just a fluke of some sort or the salesman was having an off day . However I felt like I was being taken advantage of and he was just trying to charge me for whatever he could. This may still remain my tire shop, but I'll also start looking into others as well

Love this place, though they do struggle with really high demand.

TIP: If you ever get a flat tire, you can get it fixed here for free - even if you didn't get your tires from here. No catch, but the damage has to be legally repairable (if the damage is too large, they won't be able to fix it for free) - and try to come super early because the wait can be brutal.

And yes, if you can get an appointment, get one. They used to be able to do so like a week out, but sometimes these days, you have to make it 3 weeks in advance.

That being said, usually the staff there (especially the front-end) is really nice and accommodating - though it is evident that there's probably not enough of them so they are worked pretty hard. But I do appreciate their help, and it feels like they do their best to help.

(It's hard to say how the workers in the actual garage are though - I do notice when I get my tires rotated/installed - my rims become extremely dirty and maybe even scratched? I have an older car so it's not a big deal, but just noting for those who have newer cars.)

Overall, I'll still come here because it's close-by and getting free rotations if you buy tires from them is really nice. Plus, they've helped me with a handful of flats! (just wish they could fix flats on Sunday, but they're closed)

      3 check-ins

"Could've been better" correctly said. Enticed by all the great reviews on yelp I came to this place with expectations that were not meet. I bought a full set of tires here despite my front tires still being "green" according to their check.
Paid in FULL brand new FULL set of tires all 4.

There were no follow up and no summary of what was done when I picked up my car. TPMS lights were still on after I left and it's been a week now the lights are still on. I've reached out VIA email yet no response.. NO replies.. I feel like they just took my money and then just considered me done.

Doesn't matter if MY TPMS lights still on is what it feels. I was under the impression all that was part of the package especially when I purchased a whole new set of tires. It's all new, so my TPMS lights shouldn't be ON at all. Thought this was something simple. Has nobody even check it before they handed my car back? The drive hasn't been smooth either. They sent me a survey. I thought surveys were suppose to be anonymous but it asks for my age and everything else. Feels more like something they use to get statistics more than for customer satisfaction.

I don't feel comfortable with recommending anyone to this place at this point (what they asked on the survey). How could I recommend when I'm extremely dissatisfied myself? This really could've been better and would've been had they taken the moment to actually check everything correctly before I was sent off driving my car that probably STILL needs to be brought back and fixed. More time wasted, gas wasted... I thought I could pay and have this be done with but nope. I have to chase them down now. *SIGH*.. yeah, I really thought this could be my permanent go to place and where I'd recommend everyone to go but nope.

Overall, a great shop to get your tires changed! Like all reviews before me though...make sure you make an appointment online and pay online. It's much better than drop in. The line was long. Perhaps it's better to get in during the mornings instead of afternoons. I went in to change all 4 of my tires to new ones; prices were comparable to Costco tires.

There's two lines upon walking into this location, Appointments/Pick up and Walk ins. I went in on a Thursday with a scheduled 4:15PM appointment. Arrived at 4:17PM, stood in line until ~4:35PM until I was helped. I felt like the Walk-in line moved faster for some odd reason, but I eventually got helped. The floor staff are very courteous and nice though. They estimated a completion turnaround of 5:30PM. I ended up getting a text at 5PM that my car was done. I was nearby and lo and behold, it was parked in a spot with 4 brand new tires I ordered. Appreciated the quick turnaround!

Perhaps they need to hire more associates to greet patrons in the afternoons? A lot of us were standing around with no one to greet us for a couple minutes. Also, just a note...this is a general tire shop that's meant to be high throughput. If you have precious wheels that you don't want scratches, I suggest you look for another shop. Otherwise, these guys are fast, affordable, and pleasant to work with!

Kudos to this shop in Millbrae. Jordan got his crew working hard and efficient . Thank God I had an appointment today (Saturday) . To all u walk ins be prepared to wait on days like the weekend. To make a long story short, I didn't mind waiting almost an hour even with an appointment. Watching these guys hustle to get cars in and out was a good sight to see. Jordan got them working hard and still had smiles in their faces. My go to tire shop for sure.

      Screw!!!

Busy location, Maricio and staff quickly replaced 2 rear tires within a day after discovering a flat tire. They also cleaned and shined all 4 tires. Service is reliable, store location is well stocked and reasonally priced.

Came here to install 4 tires on my Tesla model 3. Came in 30min earlier than my appt hoping I could get my car done a little earlier. Went in at 12pm with an appt of 12:30. Ended up getting my car worked on at around 12:50pm and finished around 1:15pm. That's fine.

The issue was after the install, I saw a lot of small scratches on my wheels. I was watching the guy install my tires from the window and saw him toss the wheel to the side after pumping air into it, causing some dents. My wheels were in immaculate condition prior to the appointment. Sad but it is what it is when you have strangers work on your car. They don't care about your ride like you do.

Front desk customer service was good though as the guy was very helpful and quick in getting me checked in. At the end of the day, it's a cheap tire shop that gives you lifetime tire rotations when you buy from them, but just know they don't care if they scuff up your wheels, if you care about that. Don't go bringing your Volks wheels or something high end here.

I had purchased 4 new Michelin tires from America's Tire, service was excellent although I found out a few days later that one of my center wheel cap was missing. I contacted them and Dennon the manager quickly resolved the issue by having me order the part from the dealership and reimbursed me. I had hoped that they would've found it so I didn't have to cost them loss but unfortunately it was not at the lost and found. I really hate doing this to good businesses but things like this happens. I used to always order my tires from Tirerack but will now go to America's tire. You have won not only myself as a customer but I will definitely recommend my family and friends as well. It's these little things that matters and Americas Tire has proven themselves as a great company.
