Super helpful, super nice, and easy to work with. I'll be going to Champion for any car service from here on out.

Very good shop. Came in for a scheduled inspection and oil change. Shop was clean and well lit with experienced and professional mechanics. Owner engaged with us directly and had a warm and even demeanor. Waiting room was spacious and comfortable with water and hot tea and coffee available.

Most importantly, the owners and staff were extremely nice and decent people to interact with. They took interest in our car, and seemed very capable and honest. No funny business, random upsells or whatnot. Comfortable environment for female customers. Will come back again and great experience overall.

I found out about champion automotive searching for a mechanic by reviews because there are a lot of untrust worthy mechanics out here as a woman and covid they are killing us with the scams. I had my 2012 transit connect towed to this facility engine light problem since I purchase it 4 months ago.
The place I purchase it from could not find the problem no matter how many times it was return back to the dealer ship no fix enough now I paid a portion of the fee to tow it from sheepshead bay and insurance paid the rest Champion did a great job staff was great from reception on down this shop was so organized people friendly budget friendly. Champion has gained a friend in me I'm so please with their work. The problem with my back door fixed it free of charge with a smile on their face. Champion plays a song for their recorded line. That is the right song for you all because you all are the champions.

John the owner explains everything. They are super honest pleasant and clean. Aside from repair work I went in another time for inspection and they replaced a burned out tail light for free. Most places would charge but they said don't worry about it. That's pretty rare.

The catalyst monitor of my car wasn't setting no matter what I tried. Several other shops couldn't help, simply telling me to drive it more. It got to the point where I'd been seriously considering buying a new ECU and catalyst, just in the hopes of getting the monitor to set. Instead, I brought it to Champion Auto, and they solved the problem overnight, charging no money other than the inspection fee! Service was cordial and professional throughout. This was the best experience I've ever had at a mechanic. (Interestingly my car's MPG increased from about 22 MPG to 31 MPG after the fix.)

I can't recommend Champion enough. John, Kimberly, and the whole team have been nothing but caring and professional each time I've brought in my car. I'm always nervous about being taken advantage of when it comes to auto services, but I don't worry about that anymore when my car is with Champion. They are thorough in their diagnostic process and from there, help me make the most informed decisions about what is necessary and what isn't. I'm so grateful to have found them!

My car battery needed jumping on the morning of my inspection. Thinking I needed to change my plans to get a new battery, I told John. He took a look at my car, tested it, gave a few recommendations for keeping the car more maintained- but said we didn't need a new battery. How wonderful to find a shop that won't shove new parts at less informed customers.

He took care of the inspection and an oil change in less than an hour. I won't go to any other car shop in LIC or Greenpoint. John has my business!

This place is amazing! The manager and receptionist are extremely professional and polite! Ever issue I've ever had with my suv they checked it out and gave me a great quote without charging me! I normally don't write reviews, but they deserve this awesome review
