    About the Business

Edge is the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, with a one-of-a-kind design. It's suspended in mid-air, giving you the feeling of floating in the sky with 360-degree views you can't get anywhere else. Look 100 stories down from the thrilling glass floor, lean out over the city on angled glass walls and sip champagne in the sky. You've never experienced New York like this before.

    Ask the Community

    • Q:

Is the elevator ride going up/down so fast that it's scary? I have a kind of fear of falling.

      A:

The elevator ride is like any regular elevator. It's not actually a glass elevator where you can see the outside. It does however display different views on its screens inside the elevator.

    • Q:

Do you need a vaccination card to go there now?

      A:

Nope... but have a photo of it anyway on your phone.

The Edge was a good experience and we got to take a lot of cute pics. I thought the whole floor was glass that's not true. Only a small section of the floor you can see through. They have a restaurant and bar plus they serve wine outside. Tickets between $41-$45. They also have the option to hang from the top you pay extra of course. When you leave they have a store.

I would say this is very similar to going to the Empire State Bldg and having a view of the city! The prices vary on the time of day. You can see CT, PA, NJ and NY on a clear day. Absolutely beautiful. The building is located in Hudson Yards. There is a viewing area filled with leaves which you can check out. The elevator is very cool as you are going up /down 100 stories in 30 seconds. There is a video going on showing the surrounding area so you don't think about how fast you are going. There is a bar on the floor of the edge so you can have a drink while you enjoy. You can sit outside and sit on the steps and enjoy the view. A wedding was going on when we were there. Certainly when we were there it was sunset and it was magnificent. A beautiful night and a wonderful time with friends and family. A private event was going on upstairs so you couldn't go up these other stairs. Going back down was a problem as it takes about 40 minutes when there is a line to get back downstairs. Check out the gift shop as well before you leave- everything New York City !

I loved the experience and the view from up here! There we drinks to enjoy as well. I feel like this is a must when visiting New York City. It was pretty crowded and there was a line to get pictures in certain popular spots so just keep that in mind if you are trying to get a specific photograph.

Hovering 100 stories over sleek and shiny Hudson Yard, this establishment is suspended in mid-air, giving one the unique feeling of floating in the sky. The Edge is the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere, offering a jaw-dropping view of Manhattan from Central Park to the Statue of Liberty. My colleague and I came today as first-timers, with the weather being sunny, warm, and perfect. Assuming the timed entry system would mean little or no queueing once you were in at 130 p.m., that is absolutely not the case, as we waited about 45 minutes to get to the elevator. However, the moment you step onto the deck, you can't help but feel a rush of excitement, as there are four areas of viewing. The indoor viewing room is decorated with an autumn theme, a gift shop and the restaurant, which was closed due to a private event. The outside viewing deck is broken down into two sections. The main viewing deck has a triangle glass floor section you can walk across and a staircase-style seating area. The glass panels offer unobstructed views and are even angled for a bit of an adrenaline experience! There were plenty of people, but it didn't feel crowded at all. While the city buzzes below, up there, it's just you and the skyline, which we can recommend and advise to go on weekdays when it's less crowded.

Immersive attraction, great views, friendly staff, it's definitely worth visiting.

I had an amazing time at The Edge. It's located in the Hudson Yards neighborhood. The glass rooftop view is located on the 101 floor. You can view the entire city and the breathtaking view of the Hudson River. Absolutely remarkable!

Inside of the building there are tons of shops, eateries, and restaurants. You can spend the entire day there shopping and dining. The famous Magnolia Bakery is located inside the building were you can enjoy handcrafted coffee and delicious baked goods.

When you enter the Edge rooftop, they offer an interactive experience on your way to the rooftop. It is an immersive experience that makes you feel like you are surrounded by the sounds and videos as you move through the attraction and up the elevator. Great fun!

When you arrive at the top the view is simply amazing. They have a glass bottom floor that overlooks the city streets. There is nothing like viewing NYC from the top of a skyscraper! It's exciting, thrilling, stunning, and fun.

They have a restaurant and a full bar on the rooftop. They offer a glass of Champagne for an additional $17. So you can toast to the good life with friends and family. Such an enjoyable experience.

Overall, I fully enjoyed my experience and will definitely do it again. I highly recommend this attraction. They also have another attraction similar to this called the Summit.

We visited "The Edge" attraction last week, while visiting the New York city area. This attraction is located in the Hudson yards neighborhood, and there was street and garage parking nearby. We found it very easy to navigate to with the use of a GPS device or Google maps. Upon entering the building we found it easy to find this attraction, because there is signs everywhere to direct us to the third floor to check in. We bought our tickets online, because we found that the price was a few dollars cheaper than buying them on site.

Our tickets were timed and like many other attractions, you have to allow for long lines and security checks. The staff was very professional and moved the visitors pretty quickly through. Once we finally arrived to the top of the building, we finally realized what all the hype was about. The views were truly breathtaking and we got very lucky to have a gorgeous weather day. The sun was out and you could literally see all 5 boroughs.

Tip: Buy tix online to save a few dollars, in person is more expensive. Your in NYC nothing is really cheap, not jus the economy.

This was awesome. Such a cool view of NYC from above. We bought tickets in advance and there were soooo many time slots available the day before (every 15 minutes, day and night). The Edge glass viewing deck is 100 floors up and has a 360 view of the city. My husband doesn't like heights and thought it was cool. You can soak in the view without walking too far out on the deck, or you can stand on the glass floor portion and really freak yourself out. The platform is so big that it doesn't sway or feel scary or anything. My sister went at night and loved that view too.

They have a big indoor section with a cafe that offers coffee, juices, beers, and snacks. We got a table inside and spent an hour just soaking in the view from in there and chatting too. Definitely got our money's worth! Tickets were $38 a person and the entrance within Hudson Yards is cool. The only missed opportunity was that the elevator has nothing going on it and the elevator attendant doesn't talk to you. It would be cool to have some facts shared on the long ride up.

Listen, the edge has a great views of the city for sure! You need to purchase timed ticket slots to go up and you can do it online or in person when you get there. I definitely suggest online though as they seem to sell out quick and the people buying at the site has 2+ hour wait before they could go up. You have an hour to get in line from your selected time slot. The views are beautiful but the line/wait time is ridiculous. Just when you think you are at the front of the line, you find yourself at another one. It took us about 50 mins to actually get to the top. (I think there are options to bypass the lines but I can't imagine how expensive that gets). We purchased the tickets for mid day so we could see it in the day/night. By the time we got up there we just barely had any time to see the 'day' portion of it. And the tickets are insanely expensive in general and more-so depending on the time slot you choose. I'd say it was a fun one time experience.
