Q:
Is the succulent potting station back? They had it before the pandemic and I saw on TikTok it was back since last Nov? True?
A:
Yes, we're so happy to report that the potting station is back! Can't wait to see you.
Susie N., Business OwnerQ:
Do they offer repotting services? If so, what is the cost?
A:
Yes! The service just returned recently. They'll do it for you or let you do it yourself at the potting bench. Prices vary from a couple of dollars on up, depending on the size and who's doing it.

I love this place. Workers are so knowledgeable and helpful and they have bunch of varieties as well. They
are definitely on a pricier side. So gotta be mindful.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Max C.Wayzata, MN17313543Feb 13, 2019
Bar none the best place around San Francisco plants! Drove east bay, Marin and finally found this gem -- amazing cactus selection and we got a large palm for significantly cheaper than other places.
Almost 2 years and they still look great!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lindsay B.San Francisco, CA2679159Jun 20, 2019
We had a team event here for work. We arrived late but Tyson was super amazing and accommodating and did not rush us at all. They have a cute area to pot your plants and chat with friends. We had a great time!

Bummer I called on Sunday at 11 am and left a detailed message, they never bothered getting back to me.

I have been coming here for years now and have had the odd staff interaction but 9.5 out of 10 times the service is great!
The plant selection is great and I have found specific cultivars here and not at more than four other garden centers around the city when I have been on a mission for that specific plant.
They have hands down the best selection of Australian, New Zealand and South African plants that I have found in the city. They have a very decent shade selection, they have decent South American cloud forest plants. They usually stock what I consider to be the most interesting cultivars from those selections as well.
The staff walks around looking for inventory when I can't find it but it says it's there.
They always ask if I need help to the car.
They have a great selection of containers and indoor plants.
Oh and the coffee is soooo good! Slow service but soooo good! - Diana C.Bakersfield, CA6249111Aug 31, 2016
What an awesome nursery !! A friend brought us here and we were not disappointed. Huge selection
Of plants you will not see at most nurseries including tillandsias aka air plants. I found a great book on air plants and purchased it and was told the author was on site!!!! She autographed it
They made my experience an exceptionally wonderfulHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Matt C.San Francisco, CA30523Jun 8, 2016
Ever dream of an urban oasis?
*
Flora and her team are your shepherds through interior and exterior landscape salvation.
Not to go full-messianic, but this place is a plant mecca.
Highlights:
Everything. Go now.
Quality product curated to grow well in the SF Bay area. Every time I go there is something new and interesting
All staff are gracious and exceptionally knowledgable about any imaginable species or planting location (ie. interior, hardscapes, limited sun exposure, etc.)
Thoughtful and relaxing space. Not ready to test your green thumb? Grab some 3rd wave coffee and find a zen-like spot to chill for a bit amongst the trees, shrubs and succulents
Most recent visits:
- Sought advice on a communist era ventilation shaft that needed some sprucing up. Success from Heather (Chamaedorea microspadix): Gorgeous
- Bleak, underperforming Big Box bougainvillea didn't survive the winter. Tyson came through with a vining Pelican flower (Aristolochia grandiflora): Can't wait to get it in the ground
- Agaves, aloes and haworthias to provide a drought-tolerant solution for the sunniest spot in my raised bed
- Even at the end of a busy plant sale weekend, plenty of great options remained, (sales are infrequent, but, stay in the know by signing up for the email newsletter.)
Summing it up:
If you have a specific gardening challenge, come here now. Even if you do not think you are ready to dig in the dirt or don't have any outdoor space to do so, staff will set you right, and up your interior or exterior design game.
Pro tips:
Parking lot is usually full, unless you come early or on weekdays. Bountiful parking on-street, just mind the active driveways of neighboring businesses. And, staff is gracious in helping get plants to your vehicle if it's more than you can carry.

This place is an amazing nursery with a wide variety of all sorts of small house/apartment plants and large garden trees/shrubs, etc.
Prices are comparable to area prices, reasonable. And they have beuatiful lawn furniture/decor but a bit pricey. The coffee shop inside is a bit pretentious but also amazing and beautiful and a bit pricey as well, but well worth it.
Overall, I can hang out at this place for an entire day(s) if I had the time. beautiful garden and arrangements.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 165494690Jan 15, 2012
Very cool looking nursery, the space is large and filled with a lot of great ideas on how to pot your plant.
They also have a Ritual Roaster cafe inside, a nice touch since you (of course) need a coffee while wandering around the space.
Price is kinda steep but I'm willing to trade it for their fresh gardening ideas.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alice A.Daly City, CA45716553Jan 12, 2020
This is the garden away from my garden. I get inspirations from spending time here. My garden needs so much work to get to where I want it to be....surrounded by palm trees and climbing vines with hideaway corners where you can sit and enjoy the gentle breeze while sipping coffee. When I feel impatient about getting there, I stop by here and practice enjoying my future garden. They have beautiful pots that you can't find at Home Depot. I love the fact that they pay attention to the local climate and soil conditions and they stock plants that are appropriate. I wish they had more California native plants, but they do have them. My Carpenteria californica bloomed the first year I put in my garden and it is so happy. Little by little my garden will take shape and no doubt Flora Grubb will be a part of the process.

Great plant store, just a beautiful property. I wish I lived here. The prices are pretty high but there are some deals to be found if you know where to look. Some of the female staff there were a bit rude to me unfortunately.
