I'll preface my remarks by telling you I love spicy flavourful food.
Dropped in to Foo at noon yesterday to try out 'Asian Street Food'.
A huge error.
Tried their hot and sour soup (special of the day) and it was awful. Overly spiced so as to have only heat and no flavour, I could not get through 10% of it before realizing eating more would not help make it taste better.
My friend ordered vegetables and steamed rice. It was drenched in a brown syrupy sauce that overpowered any natural flavours and rendered the meal a heavy gooey mess.
For about $20.00 the meal was a disaster. We will not return.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Brenda G.Jubilee, Victoria, Canada01Jan 13, 2022
Most delicious noodles I've tried in my life. The Pork Belly and Pad Thai are amazing. 10/10

Being featured in The Food Network channel's You Gotta Eat Here, curiosity struck me - luckily, this place was just about a 4 minute walk from our hotel.
The restaurant is small, probably fits about 10-12 diners, almost like a food truck with seats . We ordered the ff:
Ground Pork Curry
Sweet and Sour Pork Belly
Pad Thai
For the spicy food hunters, this place is for you. Very good fusion of Asian dishes but unfortunately, I can't take the spices that much.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Julia B.Victoria, Canada6783Sep 30, 2017
Came here on a first date. As I am a vegetarian I was skeptical that there wouldn't be options for me. Boy are they accommodating!
Vegan and vegetarian options for almost every item on the menu.
I tried the red curry and now I find myself craving it all the time. The fried tofu soaks up all that thick, creamy, savoury sauce. My boyfriend gets the pork belly and swears by it.
So the food is great. Let's talk atmosphere.
Organized Chaos. When your waiting for your food you'll start to sweat as there aren't any seats available in the restaurant. Not to worry: a seat will free up quickly and they make it easy for people to clean up for themselves.
I recommend Foo for takeout as you won't feel rushed to free up a seat at home.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Natalia M.Saanichton, Canada13Jan 3, 2019
Food was delicious but girl behind the till with pink hair was extremely rude. She asked us if we were taking the food to go and when we said we wanted to stay she said "Well GOOD LUCK, and just so you know, it's dangerous that you are blocking the entrance to the kitchen"
We were not blocking the entrance, we were merely paying for our food and we noticed a family of four was just clearing up their dishes so we would have had space at the tables available.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Zach D.Calgary, Canada3426072May 18, 2017

On a recent weekend trip to Victoria, we stumbled upon Foo. Inspired by Asian street food, the menu is diverse and interesting, but not so huge that you get overwhelmed.
We had the Tuna Tataki & sweet and sour pork belly, served over rice with a side of chili green beans. Quite possibly the best pork belly I've had. The beans were tender crisp and delicious. The tuna was fresh and the chilled buckwheat noodles and cucumbers were just right for a hot day.
If we'd come across it sooner we'd have definitely gone back but it was our last day. There's always next time!
At $14 each the prices seemed a little steep but we're from Seattle so not sure if those prices are normal for Victoria. We were on vacation so we didn't care but I can see where that might be a problem for locals.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
