Fowl + Fare

I'm leaving a review WHILE eating because it's that good. I'd been following this spot for a moment and finally found a moment to pop in. I ordered the lemon pepper charred chicken sandwich and fries and WOW. The chicken was ridiculously tender, juicy, and flavorful. The fries (which came as a huge serving) had a super tasty sort of sweet and peppery seasoning and came with a chipotle aioli that was also delicious. The owner checked in on me after I got my order and it was a treat to say that to his face as well!

What?!? When they say the BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH in the bay!!! They not playing! If you haven't had this... then you playin yourself! For realz! This spot is worth the drive over the bride to come snack! All thumbs up!

Worth the wait!!! So so grateful I found this gem located in Piedmont. A fried chicken sandwich with a side of fries and chipotle aioli were just what I needed to unwind this Saturday evening. 10/10 for sure!

Honestly, everything here from their chicken sandwich to their smash burger or yakisoba is perfect. I'm a potato man and the fries are kinda mid. Service for one person is on point as well. The lodge is a great atmosphere for him to pop up at as well. I guess really, the only thing that could improve slightly are the fries.

Really good chicken sandwich's & fries tucked inside the Lodge bar. Had it twice now , did not disappoint. Looking forward to trying the smash burger that's only available fri & sat. Seems like a one man operation so props to the chef. Might have to wait a bit if there's multiple orders, but the food is always fresh. Feels like a product that can definitely scale up, and would love to see it do so. But for now will enjoy it for what it is , which is a hidden gem. check yelp or the website for the hours operate only when the bar opens , which is usually 5 to 10 pm .

Hands down the best chicken sandwich in the Bay Area. The pear slaw is incredible. Fowl fries are sprinkled with a house seasoning that was fire. Chef Will doesn't disappoint!

Hands down the best chicken sandwich in the east bay. I've had them from every place in Oakland and this one is by far my favorite. Cooked to perfection and so flavorful. So go to the Lodge on piedmont Ave and give the Sando a try if you Haven't already.

Located inside The Lodge. We tried the Citric Hot Chicken Sandwich and the Black Garlic Fried Chicken Sandwich. Will be back to try the rest!

Best chicken Sammie in the Bay Area. Plus he has sooo many different terp profiles/flavors!! So good ...one man show killin it truly! We live in Vallejo and anytime we are near Oakland we stop, every time!!
