A fun activity for a team bonding event. Came here with some work colleagues on Friday lunchtime for the beginners class. We were given a 10 minute safety briefing and show how to use the equipment. Then spent about 40 mins shooting at the target and after that the whole group were split into two for a competition involving shorting the arrow and colored balloons.
The instructors are very friendly and fun. They keep and eye on your form and help you to improve as you get more familiar with your bow and arrow.
At the end of the sessions they inform you of all the upcoming events and how much it costs to come back. Once you've passed the beginners class you can come back and use the other, more advanced targets which are further away.
Would recommend. Perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Simeon K.New York, NY6932137Jun 16, 2021
This was a great experience, really fun staff and nice space. I am seriously considering getting my own equipment after this training session. Hope to be back here soon shoot some more arrows.

My company had an event here and the staff was entertaining, accommodating, and well trained. The space is huge and comfortable for events. They worked with our schedule and requests. Gotham archery made me want to go back despite never having tried archery before hand.
Kudos for this awesome space in Brooklyn!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Judith L.Brooklyn, NY1317Nov 30, 2019
Good location and nice space. However the equipment/bow/arrows are not in good condition, and marred the shooting experience.
Also note that you much take their introductory class ($40) before you can rent a lane to shoot.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kristin R.NY, NY011Sep 16, 2021

My brother took me there as a birthday gift with my son. I didn't know what to expect as I have been to archery class or event. Ben and the other instructor (did not get his name) were amazing. They made me and my son feel at ease and instead of staying nervous we were lively and engaged. Gotham has opened my eyes for this spot and I'm not sure if I would be as excited to go again if it wasn't for Ben and the other instructor. I am grateful for my brother for taking me to this place. Well worth the experience and money.

Don't spend your money here if you want to try new activities in a low key fun setting where people treat you respectfully. I was so excited to do my intro class here. But, from the second I walked it the door it was clear the instructor was in a bad mood or something. I took an intro class the week before in MAover the holidays to try new things and loved it so I came here. The instructor was.... I honestly am not sure what words to use but only ONE example was when he berated me for apologizing for holding my bow wrong when no one else was on the range, what's worse is that he did so after/while I was trying to apologize because I over-apologize and he wouldn't stop so I said "look I'm trying to apologize for holding it wrong and I must be doing that wrong too so please I'm sorry " still he had to throw in another comment. I almost started crying. Mostly because I was so excited to try archery again and instead I was being treated so poorly and didn't want to just give up because some guy was in a bad mood.
Also the facility sucks and is low quality. I'm sure there are other places to go. I certainly will.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
