Good steak burrito, for sure 4*s for that. Skip the chips and salsa, very average, red salsa is watery, green is better but nothing special, I didn't indulge much with them. Cost $12.75 plus tax, roughly $14, definitely pricy for what it was but steak was good and it was fresh so it's fine, costs are going up all over unfortunately. I'd definitely return for the burrito only.

I'm live Yelp-ing on location as I finish up my deconstructed vegan fajita burrito. I'm mostly vegan so I don't eat dairy and my diet is not allowing for wheat or corn. This is a tough place to be at a Mexican restaurant. At first the lady at the counter was making strange faces but she kindly placed my order and to my delight, a huge plate of fresh, not too oily food came out hot. It was filling and tasty, not overly salty. I would definitely come here again. Lunch for two with one soda came out to less than $20. A rare gem in this day and age.

Regular steak burrito. Add cheese and lettuce and grill the outside. You wont regret it. Their burritos are plenty big and the ingredients taste super fresh. Highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the Carnitas Super Burrito. Boom! Gone! I ordered, for the first time, a Carne Asada Tostada. It was amazingly fresh. I've been a customer since 1997 when I moved to Alameda from SF. I've known some of the Employee-Owners since then. They are kind, hard working, gracious, and very generous to all their customers. My roommate and I have traditional movie night with a burrito monthly. We saw this available on UberEats and thought we'd give it a try. I ordered the Super burrito with carne asada and my roommate got the vegetarian burrito. They delivered super quickly and the burritos were HUGE! The burrito order also came with a side of chips and a lot of salsa. The super burrito had a good ratio of rice, beans, sour cream, meat, salsa, and guac. My roommate also said the vegetarian burrito was amazing and they got all the customizations correct. The other thing I enjoyed was that they have refried beans and black beans available on their menu as their bean choices. (If you haven't had a burrito with refried beans- do it!) I'm happy to say that I found a burrito place that I will be ordering from consistently from now on.

Carnitas Nachos is something that I crave from time to time. When my sister and family took us to Island Taqueria for dinner, I knew exactly what I wanted to try. We arrived just in the nick of time. Although half the taqueria was occupied, there was no wait at the counter to place our orders. Right after us, there was a line of about a dozen people waiting for their turn. Fortunately, we found a table for the 7 of us. Place is not large so we got lucky. 10 minutes after sitting, our food came out one after another.

Super Nachos with Carnitas was my pick! It tasted legit! The carnitas were tender and flavorful. Went so well with all the refried beans, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and melted cheese. Not the best Nachos that I have ever had, but I was still very satisfied. (4 stars)

Unfortunately, I did not get to sample my tablemates orders. I can tell you that everyone was pleased to very very pleased with their food and horchata!!

Well, I can add Island Taqueria to the list of places in Alameda that I am a fan of. Looking forward to trying more of their choices in the future.

Dudeee the wet burrito here is sooo bomb!! My brother and I got the super with the enchilada sauce. They grill the steak and Al pastor before putting the burrito together. Fresh ingredients and usually have a deal with soda included. Come try them!
