Izakaya styled restaurant, not izakaya style food. Some things on the menu sounds Japanese, some Korean but nothing really authentic. Seems touristy.
The dinner set offers great value($22) but the miso soup was super salty, beef teriyaki dry and unseasoned and the tempura was just odd -- broccoli tempura?? Really?
Great place to sit down and hang out if you're not looking for actual sushi or Korean fairHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Onglee X.Spokane, WA65158Nov 16, 2023
We landed in San Fran around 7 and we're starving. San Fran can be overwhelming with all the food options and we were getting hangry.
Luckily where we were staying, the Warwick hotel, there were lots of food options in a short walking distance. The restaurant is open late thankfully, because we're late eaters.
We were sat down by the window. It's always a good time to people watch, especially in San Fran.
I ordered the Sho Chiku Bai nigori, I'm a big fan of the unfiltered sakes.
For appetizers we ordered the uni scallop bites. You just order the uni scallop bites. They were fresh and delicious. It looks like a mouthful but it isn't. Fits perfectly. The scallop was raw and tender. With the accompaniment of the salty salmon roe. This was our favorite. Second appetizer was the hamachi carpaccio.
Very fresh and tender. The tomato didn't really make sense but the tomato was good by itself.
We also ordered the seafood udon. I asked if it could be made not spicy, and they said no because it came already mixed. Which was fine, it was a good flavor, just a little bit too spicy for our tastebuds. The udon noodles were amazing. Nice chewy texture . Really enjoyed all the seafood and it was packed with tons of seafood! Mussels , crab, all the best. When the dish cooled down, the spice was more tolerable. Very good dish, if they could make it not spicy it would be even more scrumptious.
We also ordered three sushi rolls, the 3 amigos, heaven and jungle boogie. They were okay, nothing really too spectacular about them. That's why I didn't even bother getting pictures of them.
Great place for the two apps. And noodles .
Would come back only for those.
There were quite a few people in the restaurant, it wasn't too loud .Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Katie J.CA, CA04Jul 28, 2024

Came here with a group of 4 on a Saturday around 6pm. We called about ~10 minutes in advance and they said they could take us without reservation! The restaurant felt clean, the staff were friendly, and the service was very quick!
I got the Lucky 7 roll, which was amazing - I loved the flavors of the seared fish, spicy tuna, and sauces on top. One of my friends got the bulgogi fries, which he devoured! Another friend got the Chirashi bowl, which came with an assortment of seafood and caviar. We shared a Sho Chiku Bai Nigori Sake, which paired well with our dishes! This restaurant had great quality dishes for very reasonable prices - I would definitely recommend this place!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 8, 2022
I am a sucker for Sushi and this place hits the spot.
Food & Drinks: I liked the Yammy Yammy roll the most, a burst of flavor in your mouth. Also liked their chicken Karaage. The scallops were my least favorite because the sauce felt sourer than I expected it to be.
Service: We went here on a weekend night for dinner without a reservation but the wait was short. We were quickly seated and the servers were sweet and helpful.
Ambiance: It's a small & cozy dining room that gives you a high-end yet homey feeling. Cutely decorated.
In all: I would definitely go back here on my next trip to SF, would highly recommend this for a date night or even a dinner with friends.Helpful 11Thanks 1Love this 8Oh no 0 - Ginger M.Kansas City, MO2132Apr 17, 2024
Absolutely disgusting!! We might have been able to stomach the rest of the rolls if we hadn't gagged on the Lion King...every mouthful after that was choking down mushy (not sticky) warm rice and questionable seafood. Bad enough I didn't want to take the leftovers to the homeless. Bad food overshadowed slow service but I'll go ahead and throw that in here as well. Don't believe the five star reviews!

Service (5/5): Ordered takeout and server was friendly and helpful with recommendations.
Venue (5/5): Very busy and seems small for popularity of the spot, but overall nicely decorated and clean.
Food (5/5): Got the lion king roll and the grilled bulgogi plate. Lion king roll was really delicious sushi with nicely cooked salmon and tangy sauce. The bulgogi plate was overall great but some of the beef was a bit chewy.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 29, 2022
Solid rolled sushi place - get the Lion king it is popular for a reason! I also liked the lucky 7 but wasn't a huge fan of raw fish. If you're the same you can ask them to sear it for you.
Takoyaki balls was filling and crispy. Wish there was more octopus inside more filled with dough than octopus. The shredded skinny bonito flakes was yummy!
We went during happy hour and as long as you are seated before 7pm you can order 50% off drinks. They had a good selection of sake. Wish the food was also discounted but was a solid sushi spot in lower nob hill!
Ambience: casual, some couples, nice windows. Great for post work hangouts or a catch-up with a friend!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 4, 2024Seated via Yelp Reservations
My husband and I decided to have dinner here because it was close to our hotel and I didn't want to go far in the rain. We borrowed some umbrellas and made the trek down to Bush. I made reservations in advance just in case as it was a Friday evening and we weren't sure how busy they'd be. We were seated even though we arrived a bit earlier than our 8 pm reservation. Our server gave us a minute so that we could review the menu. Another server stopped by and got the initial chicken karaage and crunch roll order. I hadn't made up my mind yet so I waited. Another server stopped by so I ended up ordering the tiger roll. The waters came out first and then the chicken. It was hot but wasn't as crispy as it could have been. The crunch roll was brought out next. The diced spicy tuna had an odd texture to it. My husband was fine with it and I was not. The tiger roll came out and I ate it. It wasn't the best I've had but it was fine. We had just the right amount of food and it hit the spot. Service was speedy and the food was okay. I'm glad we didn't have to venture out too far from Nob Hill.

This place is usually busy in the evening. They have regular happy hours 5-7pm with 50% off on all alcohol provided you order food. The sushi was really good and filling - they have 8 pieces per place and I was stuffed. I ordered nama roll which is the only vegetarian dish on their entire menu but it tasted really good. The only thing I didn't like about this restaurant is that my friend ordered non-vegetarian (lion king which he really liked) sushi and I ordered vegetarian sushi and they were served on the same plate. We also had to order extra ginger for the table. Yummy sushi.
