They weeded / manicured our front and back yard, which hadn't been touched (aside from some occasional lawn mowing) for over a year. They also gave me some reasonable estimates on return quarterly visits. I will definitely use Kevin's Gardening again!

I highly recommend Kevin's Gardening Service for any of your landscaping/gardening needs. I reached out to them a couple weeks ago to ask about cleaning up the front and back yards of my home. We have a lot of trees/vines/bushes/etc and mulch all over! They were able to come by for a free consultation and provided a quote within the same week. We had them scheduled for the following week. They were incredibly thorough with the landscaping and clean up! Our yard has never looked better. Not only are they great at what they do, they are super quick, reliable, and quick to respond/schedule. They even provided tips on how to care for/maintain our fruit trees and checked our irrigation systems for us. I will definitely be sticking with Kevin's Gardening Services for any future work needed.

Our front, side and back yards were BEASTS of overgrown weeds, foxtails and leaves - having had no attention for 9 months. When Kevin came out and gave us an estimate, I was surprised at the cost as it seemed pricey. Let me tell you, it was worth EVERY penny. Kevin and his crew of 4 guys arrived at 10am and worked non-stop until 4pm. They carefully worked around existing plants we wanted to keep (which couldn't even be seen before they started working). Our yards look AMAZING now and we were thrilled with the work Kevin and his crew did for us! He'll be back 1x a month from now on to keep us looking ship shape!

Kevin's Gardening Service did such a beautiful job with my yard. I had a very pretty existing garden from the previous residents, but I struggled to keep up with it and it became overrun with weeds very quickly. Kevin's team came out to give an estimate and came back two days later to complete the work. There was a lot to be done, so the price reflected that and it was very reasonable. It was worth every penny! They pulled up all the weeds that had overtaken the rock garden, pruned dead leaves from the plants, and shaped the fruit trees. They also cleaned up the front of the house and driveway (which I had not even realized also had tons of weeds). My yard has never looked so good! I will definitely have them come back next month to keep it looking like this.

If there is one thing I do not like with scheduled services, it's scheduled services which are inconsistent or, worse, not at all reliable. Given my experience with Kevin's Gardening Service, I would describe them as the latter. When I want my property maintained on a monthly basis, I mean "monthly", not every other month or when there is availability. Especially when I'm told upfront that they would arrive on a monthly basis to perform yard maintenance.

I do NOT recommend their services due to this lack of professionalism and poor reliability.

They came highly recommended by a few neighbors, and the reviews here - as you can see - are largely stellar, so I felt confident in my giving them a call. They came out on a weekend to evaluate my property - a backyard that was recently renovated, a small front yard, and an alleyway. Because the yard was so new, there wasn't an initial cleanup cost - just a monthly cost of $150/month; they would be in my property the last Friday of each month. Sounded great! Fair price, and a day that was fixed and predictable.

Service started in September 2019. Now, if there's one very positive thing I would say, it's that their service quality is top-notch. When I came home from work, I found my outside property looking pristine across the board. Everything was trimmed, the astroturf was clear of leaves, and all evidence of weeds and unwanted plants anywhere were eliminated. A similar session in October yielded similarly positive results. For a time, I was very happy.

Then November rolled around.

The month came and went... and even though I was home through Thanksgiving weekend, I at least expected to hear from them the week before to inform me whether they would still be coming on Black Friday - or if they wanted to have it rescheduled to another day (I was not opposed to rescheduling since I know some contractors may not want to work that day). However, I heard nothing. I decided to give them the benefit of a doubt, hoping they'd contact me, but nothing was heard. It wasn't until mid-December when I reached out to them informing them that nobody arrived to service my home in November, but - since I assumed they would be coming in December - I wanted to give them my vacation schedule so we could schedule around it. They agreed to December 19th - a date that came and went without them servicing my yard. Since I would be traveling after that date, it would mean my property would have gone a full two months without any sort of maintenance from a professional gardening service - something that my mind declared was quite unprofessional.

Another email, this time in January - one much shorter, expressing that I really need someone to come out to my property, especially since the bout of rain we had through the holidays resulted in tons of weeds to grow everywhere. I didn't get a response until the end of the month, when Kevin stated via text message that they will be coming out on January 30th. Via text, I pointed him to my last email which explained what I needed done on top of regular maintenance in part because of two previous months of not receiving service. Pictures were provided for key areas which needed extra attention and everything (I was nothing but thorough and detailed throughout all of this... and patient).

When I got home, the property was pristine once more... but what surprised me was the invoice which requested $750 for five months worth of work (see the attached picture)! I was legit shocked at the invoice, especially since I paid in full for the months where service was performed (September and October) and would be paying for what was in front of me (January). One thing that I haven't talked about was how I've been paying. Despite the invoice not advertising it, I was given an email address to send PayPal payments, something which was given to me by Tom, one of the contractors who works with Kevin's Gardening Service. It was this email address where I sent all payments as opposed to writing a check. I don't know who was managing their finances, but clearly someone never shared the memo about paying for services via PayPal. After confirming the payments I did make, I alerted Kevin via text message about the discrepancy... but heard nothing back. Just total blackout.

And now we're in March... and no service was performed in February... and yet I receive a request for payment via PayPal from Tom for $150. For work that wasn't ever done.

An email was sent to them, informing that I received a request for payment, yet no work was performed in February - therefore I wouldn't pay. I received a response from Tom stating, in short, that Kevin was "absolutely positive" they serviced my home in February. When I pointed out that was not possible because they didn't have keys to my front gates, thus preventing any access to my yards, I got the most unexpected response: Tom felt it would be best to discontinue servicing my home.

Kevin's Gardening Services is amazing! I spoke with Tim about cleaning up the front yard and he gave amazing recommendations. He was very honest with what I needed and didn't up sale services.

In addition, the team was quick and friendly!

The workers arrived on time. They were efficient and did what was expected. They did clean up very well. The yard looked neat and well groomed. The owner, Kevin was courteous and easy to talk to about what needed to be done. I just started using them but after my initial experience, I am pleased with the results.

Kevin and his crew do beautiful work! What I love about them is even if they're trimming a hedge or cleaning out weeds, the results always look so natural- not hacked or severely cut. Kevin executed everything I requested to a "T" in transforming my Mom's overgrown backyard to one where it preserves key plants and opens it up for CA Natives to be planted. Her front yard looks lovely as well- now the flowering plants stand out nicely and others are trimmed back aesthetically. Kevin is knowledgeable and if you're open to it will offer his suggestions, which I appreciate. His crew is hard working and they clean up well. You may pay a bit more for your project, but it is worth every penny!

Our yard has not been maintained for a couple months. Came in, took an hour, and cleaned everything up. Very professional and clean work as well as attention to detail on things like gravel/plants.

Our front and back garden was looking pretty gnarly, but I'm so glad to have found Kevin's gardening service. They're incredible listeners and took into consideration everything that i wanted to get done for the place.
