Freshly prepared food that I am hoping to eat when spring/summer weather approaches in Harbor Bay Isle. Take home meals are well prepared and hot by the time I drove home. Easy to order in person, and the containers are well packaged. Sorry no drinks. Will be coming again as the weather goes from Winter to Spring. This was my Birthday dinner amidst the Omicron pandemic.

Happy hour margaritas are lovely, a must try! The view is lovely also for a lunch date. Great stores to also visit neighbor the establishment.
Plenty of parking. Quiet beautiful little neighborhood.
My sissy and boyfriend comes here so much they're also regulars.
You can have your margarita blended or not. Depends on how you like it.
Cadillac margaritas are our first order most of the time other times I enjoy the watermelon margarita.

Solid lunch per usual. Long time servers, quality food, a bar and some outdoor seating. I am grateful this place exists and is near me in a somewhat rundown, out of the way, small shopping center.

This used to be our go-to place. But for the past few years quality's gone down as prices have gone up. Had the shrimp fajitas today. The shrimp were not deveined. Gross.
Last few times I've had the street tacos they were soggy.
I really want to stay in the neighborhood, but they're making it hard.

House Margarita's and tacos... you can't go wrong.
Fried fish is awesome here as well.

La Penca Azul is a pretty lively place with music and tv entertainment throughout the restaurant. Drinks are very good here and have a wide selection to choose from. I do enjoy the ambiance here but the food here is average at best. I would still prefer El Toritos over this place. Food here is too seasoned and little salty compared to other Mexican restaurants. To go orders need much improvement though. I have ordered to-go about 3 or 4 times and have yet to get my order correct. I recently ordered a salad here and the salad was soaked in Caesar dressing by the time I came home (see pic). Number rule 1 for restaurants serving to go orders is they should know not to add any dressing or sauces to salads or fried items. Last thing you want to come home to is to have a sloppy mess on your table. It's just a waste of time and money when these orders are not done right. Please make some improvements La Penca.

Love this place, but last two times the service has been horrid. First visit had to go up to the bar to get water while eating as servers avoided eye contact when attempting to flag them down. Today, ordered a beer. Food took a half hour. When it came, still had to ask for the beer. Then asked for water, it again never came.... Again. I've been here since the La Penca has been in business on Bay Farm. Not sure if they have staffing issues or what. Hope they get better. No offer for additional chips, but with lack of beverages, I didn't even try.

Chicken taco is Very dry and the it is not eatable. I believe they microwaved the food??!!! I wouldn't recommend this place.
