M&M Pool Construction

M&M was subcontracted by our pool builder to do the plumbing, electrical and start-up service for our new pool. I am extremely happy with their work. From the crew who did the pipes to Kevin who completed the start-up this company was great to work with. After plumbing went in I realized it left little room to move around the equipment pad and M&M sent out their guys to move the pipes to a different location to make me happy. They did a great job explaining their process and worked quickly. Once water was filled Kevin stepped in and took great care in making sure our water was balanced during the important startup phase.

I recently purchased a home in Carmichael and the prior homeowner had provided me with her Pool guy's number insisting that I would want to keep him. After several attempts to call with no answer, I had no choice but to start looking for a new Pool Service provider as strong winds blew way too many leaves in my pool over the week and really couldn't wait any longer to get it cleaned. I searched Yelp and came across M&M and read the reviews. A couple were questionable, so I was apprehensive. I called and the owner advised me that he would have Kevin call me that day to come take a look and talk about service. As promised, Kevin called and scheduled to come same day. As soon as he arrived he got down to business and took his time educating me about my system and making changes to suite my preferences and he cleaned up my pool for me. Any apprehension I may have felt prior was immediately put to rest as Kevin was super knowledgeable and patient. Additionally, Kevin followed up with me to make sure everything was working as expected. I pointed out that the sweeper was running longer than what we scheduled and he quickly came to determine why and fixed it. Needless to say, I have signed up for weekly service and I'm very happy that I took a chance and selected M&M as they are very responsive and helpful.

Our new salt water pool is about two months old. Century Pools did a great job with the main construction handing off equipment and water start up to Kevin with M&M. I wanted to learn the system and do my own maintenance, water balancing, etc. Kevin was able to explain the system and all components and nuances thoroughly. I did a fair amount of my own research and everything Kevin and M&M said or did has checked out as the correct and best approach. Being new to chemical testing and not wanting to mess anything up, I've been taking water samples in to Leslie's Pool for confirmation. Several times they've commented on how great the test results are. They mentioned that they end up helping owners fix problems with bad start ups all the time. That says a lot when the chemical tester is impressed! Great work M&M/Kevin!!

I highly recommend this company. M&M helped install our pool and when it was complete we kept them on for weekly service. We have not been sorry. Their associates are both knowledgable and dependable. They are also kind and friendly and always return calls promptly. Just recently we called the owner Mike Doan about a problem with the chemical injection pump. He was on it immediately, arranged warranty repair, and provided manual work-around service in the interim. Very impressive! Keep up the good work!

Mike Doan of M&M Pools installed my electric, plumbing, equipment and equipment set for my second owner builder project. One of my other subs asked who was doing my work and told me "Mike does great work." He wasn't kidding. From beginning to end Mike was professional, on-time, easy to communicate with and we couldn't be happier with the work he did to help make our dream pool. HIs staff came out to fine tune some equipment and go over the settings with me and they were also professional and courteous. Highly recommended!

M&M pool service is the best! They care for your pool like it were their own! I was shocked to see my pool guy servicing my pool in the rain one day!When I first started service with M&M, four years ago, I told Mike that I wanted the type of pool service that I didn't have to do anything but just walk outside and swim! He told me " no problem, we can do that for you!" He forgot to tell me one thing though......He forgot to tell me that my pool will look sparkling beautiful and new year round! I look forward to opening my shutters every morning and admiring the beauty in my backyard!

Great service! Kevin answered all of my pool questions promptly and accurately. Kept my pool nice and clean and gave a great pool orientation. Even helped troubleshoot issues well after the initial service period. Well above and beyond!

Wish I could give negative stars. Maybe this company should stick with "construction" and leave maintenance to someone else. Our pool has been having algae growth for weeks, and they've blamed us for not running the sweep enough. We've been running it twice a week for two hours. Yesterday we suspected the pump wasn't running and when we opened it it was completely dry and the basket at the skimmer was completely clogged like it hadn't been checked in weeks. One week they completely skipped our service and I still haven't seen the credit on my bill for that. Rather than doing any actual maintenance yesterday and discovering this problem, the kid tried to upsell me on something to combat algae growth for $100! Do your job and the algae wouldn't have been a problem!!
