My washer stopped draining on Friday night. I called a couple of LG repair companies and left a vm hoping for a quick call back, but not expecting one before Monday. Metro was the only company that called me back, and they called on Sunday, set up and appointment for Monday and showed up when they said they would. Igor was awesome, he diagnosed the problem quickly, knew what he was doing, quoted me a price to fix that was way less than I was expecting. He had to get the part and since it was so late in the day he said he would come back the next day, which he did. He replaced the drain pump, cleaned up after himself and was done in about an hour. These guys are awesome.

Overpriced, but speedy to respond and professional. They're not local to where I live. The address is nearby, but it's a retail store. I ended up calling the 800 number for Amana and paid $120 for a service call versus the $250 that this provider quoted me.

Alex is responsible and professional. Showed up and fixed the problem and didn't even charge my wife and said he would text me. I had to text him and he wanted to charge me just for a service call. I paid him double what he asked for and it's well deserved. He is professional, effective and fixed the problem right away.

These guys are amazing. I had a very peculiar problem with my GE monogram ice maker. They tried multiple approaches and finally solved the mystery. Importantly they only charged me one time even though they came out multiple times before it was solved. They were relentless!

Alex and his partner did a great job replacing our old gasket in our washing machine. Took them less than an hour, reasonable price/ good value, and were able to make a next day appointment with us. They were professional, knowledgeable and even patient and friendly with our pup who was very curious about their work. Highly recommend their services!

Update Jan 12, 2024. Congratulate yourself for reading this unsolicited, unpaid review. Metro is a terrific find in San Francisco. I've dealt with them for 9+ years and am still getting the same great service every time. They tell me the smart way to solve a problem instead of the most expensive way. Many times they'll explain how I can fix it myself to save time and money. Call them first call when you want a smart, quick, and honest solution. And trust what they tell you. They are awesome.

Mark is about as honest as they come. He's reliable, prompt, and efficient. Several times, he's advised me not to spend the money to fix something until its really broken. Can't recommend him highly enough.

These people are great!

I called then because my Bosch dishwasher stopped mid-cycle and would no longer turn on. The repairman was at my house in 2 hours, and within another hour the problem was fixed.

The repairman was punctual, polite, and a master at his craft.

I will definitely call Metro Appliance Repair the next time I have have an appliance problem!

Our expensive Thermador fridge's freezer gave out and stopped freezing and started making noises and triggering alarms. Got a visit from an appliance repair specialist - he replaced a ventilator which turned out a helpful, but not problem solving measure.
I called Alex, he came out for diagnostics and correctly determined that the freezer needs to be "resealed" (compressor and freon replaced and circuit resealed) , gave us an estimate - pricey but by far much le$$ than getting a new fridge for $11K (another one wouldn't fit into the opening!).
Once they got the parts, Alex came with helpers and they performed that quite complex job to a highest standard and our freezer is freezing again and we are not bothered by alarms! Moreover, he ordered a few smaller plastic parts that were broken but not critical and came back to install them for free.
A+ service and honest dealing - highly recommend to anyone especially with higher end appliances with expensive parts!

Metro Appliance Repair helped me fix my leaking washing machine and saved me a bunch of money - without even coming to my home.

When I noticed my leaking washing machine, I called several appliance companies, many which told me their diagnostic fees without really listening to my problem. They would have been happy to collect the fee for a problem they couldn't fix.

The person who picked up the phone at Metro:
1. Listened to what the issue was and gave me advice on what the real problem was
2. Let me know that 99% of the time I would need a plumber rather than an appliance repair person
3. Gave me advice on how to fix the issue, and said if I had trouble to give him a call back

After the call I was able to better identify the problem and fix it myself. While I can't comment on their actual services, I really appreciate the honesty and help rather than a company looking to just collect fees on problems they know they likely can't address.

We had a problem with her dishwasher flooding and the guy was a complete complete idiot. In the end I fixed it myself and all it needed was it s drain ventilation unclogged. But the guy was just clueless and unfortunately my Spanish was as pitious as was his English, so we never had the opportunity to better problem solve together. on the bright side, I learned how to fix a flooding dishwasher when the cause of the flooding is a clogged drain vent.

Requested help with an old non-draining washing machine. Alex answered the phone, was communicating well and we scheduled a visit .
Igor was the technician. He called a couple of hours prior to the scheduled appointment as a new slot opened up earlier. He was on time for the new appointment. The repair was done expertly all the while answering my questions and helping with recommendations. He was up front with what an option to repair would cost and how long it would take. Igor didn't give up on a leaking hose and tweaked the connection until everything looked good.

Very good service, excellent communication, friendly and punctual! Everything I expect from a company!! THank you!
