Mola is a diva! Make-up, Fashion, Hair, she is a make-over guru!

She is in such high demand that all of her clients are by word of mouth. She's very busy so call at least a week in advance for an appointment!

I was referred to Mola from a friend (Jenn, who also wrote a Yelp review here) and Mola did some highlights and a trim for me. I'm very happy with the results and my hair looks very natural and healthy!

I want to come back and get my make-up done by her, she did an EXCELLENT job on my friend!!

The best thing about Mola is that she is straightforward and will tell you exactly what she thinks. She also gives spot on fashion advice :)

I'm one of those annoying people who are super particular about their hair. I have long, THICK hair and most people I've seen get really lazy with the amount of hair I have which usually leads to unevenness, patchy and dry.

NOT WITH MOLA! She's the first person I've ever gone to more than once. She did exactly what I wanted, was honest, and is very personable. I don't just see her as a hair stylist but as my friend as well. If you want someone who's experienced, listens and truly cares; Mola is your girl!

Note: if you're going to come in being super picky and not having an open mind, or with dry damaged hair you may not get the results you want on the FIRST go. That's for every hair stylist you go to.

The price you pay is for the quality and professionalism that Mola has. I wouldn't expect any less when it comes to pay! SHES WORTH IT.

Mola is the best hairstylist I've ever had! I went in for a balayage and I told her my fears about bleaching my hair (considering I have Asian hair) and she was so knowledgeable and understanding. She is a true expert at her craft and helped me feel beautiful! I'm amazed by her skill and how she was able to achieve what I wanted!! She also gave me really great tips on how to care for my hair. Her salon is also very clean and chic too. Thank you mola for my goooooorgeous hair!! I will be back!

I've been going to Mola for over 10 years. There is no-one else I trust with my hair. She knows what I like and don't like without me having to tell her. I can just sit in the chair and say go for it and know that i'll love it at the end. She is the best at balayage/ombre, she can magically make blonde look natural and blended on naturally dark asian hair. Thank you Mola for always working your magic on my hair!

I have been following Mola for 8 years until she landed herself at Salon Stilo which she worked so hard to call her own and she absolutely deserved. She is such a hard worker, beyond talented and always wants to please. I walk into the salon, have her work her magic and walk out feeling like a new woman. I cannot stress enough what an amazing colorist and hairstylist she is, she stays up-to-date with what's in and the appointments fly by because she's so easy to talk to and the salon always plays my favorites jams. Mola and her staff have taken covid very seriously. The appropriate modifications in the salon have been made and they follow protocol before their clients enter the salon including filling out a questionnaire. I feel 100% safe getting my hair done. Once you go Mola, you won't go back ;)

This has been long overdue, but you definitely have to book your appointment with Mola!!! I've gone through so many salons where I wasn't completely satisfied with my service, but when my friend referred me to Mola, I had hope again. When she gave me her contact information, I immediately emailed her and it didn't take long for her to respond back with her services and the pricing for each. We then scheduled an appointment, went through the transformation, and my hair has been perfect ever since then.

Mind you not, my hair was a complete mess before. I had discoloration throughout my hair and it was very choppy and uneven. I've been wanting to go either ashy or lighter from previous salons, but hair stylists have always turned me down. When I told Mola I wanted to do an ashy, grey balayage, she took on the challenge and definitely gave my hair some TLC. I'm always happy with the results and I'm always going to go to her if I want my ashy balayage or something else in the future (definitely might want to do an all over color ;)!!)

I do have to say for anyone that's trying to book appointments with her, she is a busy person. Give her some time to respond back to your emails because she is SUPER BUSY. If you have the time and patience, she's definitely a hair stylist that can deliver!!

I've been to several well-known IG bay area hairstylists in the past and outta all of them, Mola is the first one I've wanted to write a review for because I've never left more satisfied than I did today!

Right before I sat in the chair at my appointment, I was skeptical about the possible results cause I wasn't confident in what I wanted myself. Looking for hair inspirations was a total headache cause everyone's hair, no matter what color, cut, or style, looked so good! I ended up showing Mola an inspiration from a past client she worked on. She assured me she'd try her best and even added her own little twist to it. She made me feel comfortable and confident that I would love the results. The final look came out better than I expected!! Mola definitely cares about the integrity of your hair; my hair didn't feel super dry or damaged after all the processing it went through. Mola is a true artist because your hair is her canvas and the final result is a piece of art that reflects on her amazing talent!

She's a hard worker and high in demand, so don't wait out on her. Make an appointment asap! I got a hold of her via email and she replied within a week or so. Her services may be a splurge for some people, but it's worth it for quality hair!

It's been a long time since I've been this happy with my hair color, so I am very happy to write this 5 star review for Mola today. It's been a real struggle for me to find a colorist in the Bay Area that has openings. I'm fortunate enough to get an appointment that was no more than 2-3 weeks away from when we emailed. Since today was Saturday the parking lot was packed but I got lucky and scored the spot that is reserved just for the salon. Don't forget to get a ticket from the attendant so you can get it stamped in the salon after you get your hair done.

I wasn't nervous, but I was super excited to get the orange out of my hair. It's been about 7-8 months since I've done anything to it and it looked super disgusting. I saw the hair makeovers that mola has done and I've been impressed with them all, so I had hopes that she could work her magic on me too!

Mola is super friendly, easy to talk to and explains everything she's doing. She did highlights and blended everything together. She was able to get my stubborn hair to get lighter to the perfect ashy blonde I was dreaming about and also did not leave me with orange roots but instead put a color on my roots so that it would look good. Thank you for that because I would be super sad with orange hair again!

Prices are fair. Since I have longer hair and used more product, my total was on the higher end.. But I wasn't surprised. Just know that if you're going in, you're paying for what you get. You pay the price for the results you want and will be happy with in the end.

I love my hair right now. The color is perfect but I will be going back to see Mola in a few months because I definitely want to go lighter as spring approaches.

I came back after a year since I first saw Mola and she was even more amazing this time! I will definitely be back again. She's great and also fun to talk to which is great because I'm usually there for several hours when getting my hair done. Highly highly recommend! Thanks Mola.

Mola is awesome. Holidays were really busy so I was very patient and waited for the next appt that she had available in January and it was well worth it. Words do no justice, look at my pictures. I had fried lion-looking hair and was tired of the yellow-orange ends. All I wanted was a haircut to get rid of my dead ends (but to keep the length) and I wanted to go back to dark natural healthy hair for a while. Holy crap, she did just that. The cool thing is, the color changes to different shades of brown in the sunlight. I think I was just there for about 2.5-3 hrs which is pretty good considering I have extremely thick hair. Free parking lot a huge plus- I was able to keep my car there and walk through the shops of Burlingame the rest of my day without worrying about the meter running out.

Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely come back when I start itching to add more colors to my balayage hair. Mola also recommended some good hair products and I appreciate her being honest about where I can find good deals rather than pushing me to buy it at the salon. Thank you, Mola!!!
