Natural life aquarium, one of the best if not the best, aquarium in south city and better than any fish store that i've been to in san francisco. Here you will find the most friendliest of fish experts, very helpful to beginners trying to start up a new fish tank. Great fresh water and saltwater fish selection not to mention the breath taking display of marine invertabrates. Its sort of new but very easy to find, located on southwood street. I myself had a saltwater tank a few years back but recently started a new one and the help i got from MANNY the fish guru, was exceptional and now i cant stop myself from coming back and checking out what new stuff they have.
They have really good deals on fish and you'll find that alot of the stuff is cheaper than any other store. They love fishes just as much as you and will never try to highball you or sell you a fish that is hard to take care of, just to make money. Fish stores should tell you first, before you buy something and you'll find that manny is always saying whats hard and whats easy. I found this out the hard way when i bought a mandarin goby from another fishstore, i asked how the fish was n all they said was hes a beautiful fish n hes good to have in your tank. I soon found out that he never eats in my tank and later i found out from manny that 99 out of 100 mandarins wont make it in a new tank and that they do best, in well established tanks. I wish the other store told me that when i bought him. My mandarin got real skinny and i didnt want him to die in my tank so i asked manny from natural life aquarium to take him in and he was nice enough to do that, which i appreciated alot. The fish ended up passing but just the fact that manny tried to nurture him back to good health was very thoughtful.
They also take really good care of their inventory and are constantly making sure that all their fish are in good health. Every other store i've been to theres always dead fishes in the tanks, which scares me away n im sure scares others away. If you buy from here you'll be getting good quality fish and healthy fish.
They also have a great selection of fish supplies, tanks, lights, food, nets, filters, medicine, live rock, gravel, you name it, its there. If you dont come here you're missing out on alot of great fish and great service. I can go on and on tellin you how great this store is but its best if you see for yourself.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - jeff l.San Bruno, CA012Aug 18, 2013
