I visited here today and had an amazing experience! The location is perfect, nestled in a charming spot that's easy to find and perfect for a casual lunch or a cozy dinner. The food was absolutely authentic, with rich flavors that transported me right to the streets of Thailand. From the Pad Thai to the Green Curry, every dish was bursting with freshness and deliciousness.
The interior is super cute and welcoming, with just the right mix of modern touches and traditional Thai decor. It creates such a warm and inviting atmosphere. Definitely a new favorite spot, and I can't wait to come back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 32175776Sep 13, 20241 check-in
Conveniently located In the heart of downtown on B Street. This small corner location is popular with locals. Don't forget to write-in your name on the waitlist at the entry.
Food is served as it is made so it comes out hot and fresh but sporadically. It's a little problematic when your rice is delayed from your garlic sauce pork dish or your fried rice comes out long before other main entrees. But food is loaded with authentic Thai flavors. The garlic pork is tasty but a bit too salty. Pineapple fried rice was light on the flavor so I added the seasoned salt which woke up the dish. Thai ice coffee is delicious but let the ice bear melt to get a stronger flavor.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 12, 2024
I Doordashed from New Thai Elephant recently and that was my only experience eating from here so my review is only for food and nothing else. I ordered the Pad See Ew and a Pad Thai for a friend because we were craving some Thai food and this spot looked legit!
I sneaked a bite of the Pad Thai and it was good and also not overly sweet like some Pad Thai I have had at other places.
I was a fan of my Pad See Ew. I was in the mood for some heavy and greasy noodles and the noodles were so good. I ordered it with the pork and the flavor was there, but was on the drier side which was unfortunate. If it was more tender it would have been amazing. The eggs and veggies were cooked with the Pad See Ew pretty well too.
Can't speak on the service or ambiance, but they prepared the food for delivery very quick and I was happy with the quality of the food overall. Would go to in person at some point to try out the rest of their menu without a doubt.Helpful 4Thanks 2Love this 4Oh no 0 - Aug 30, 2024
My friend and I were trying to figure out what to eat. She was craving Thai food so here we are haha.
We came in and ordered the Thai iced tea and we both got the Panang Curry. The Thai tea was really good. It had the right amount of sweetness to it and it even had this cute bear on top. The Panang Curry was also delicious. The broth was very smooth and had layers of flavor to it.
The service here was good as well. Our server was very patient with breaking down the menu and giving popular recommendations.
The ambiance of restaurant is nice and finding parking here isn't really an issue. Overall, great Thai restaurant in San Mateo. Try it out if you like. :)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Adela V.Union City, CA4101250Sep 10, 20241 check-in
First time trying this new Thai place in Downtown San Mateo and we loved every bit of it! Service was amazing and the food was sooo yummy! Would highly recommend the Chicken Satay + Panang Curry (if you love the peanut sauce). The Pad See-Ew was also very flavorful. Overall, from the moment we stepped in, this place felt very nice and welcoming! Would definitely come and order here again!

DerekJul 17, 2022Previous reviewWe ordered their fried chicken over fried rice and roasted duck (egg) noodle soup to share. I really enjoyed both dishes. The waiter and waitresses are all very nice. The decor looked nice and they have two TV behind the counters. The plastic chairs were dirty, but other than that, it was an enjoyable meal!
