Paradise Lost

First this place looks closed but it's not! When you do get in the ambiance is on another level! I loved it here and the people. We tried like 8 different drinks. Some come with a show and some even the lights will flicker. I will say the hostess tried to intimidate me because I was from LA. Saying she could rob me I told her to try it. lol anyways other than that weird hostess I told to get home safe and not mess with me I had a wonderful time here! The drinks are so delicious!

Walking into this bar felt like I had entered into the pages of Paradise Lost! So glad I tried this place- drinks are so unique and the tater tots were so flavorful

Ambiance
- immersive ambiance in the room. Space was dim and lit with little sphere lights covering the ceiling
- you sit in booths lining the walls with little tables in front of you
- cool rock music playing ( heard a mix of Japanese rock)

Service
- friendly staff
- our tots came out before our drinks

Food/drink
Can't remember the exact names of each order. Strength of drink was marked by #of monster. Lightest drink=1monster
- Pineapple- 2 monster: delicious tropical pineapple flavor. Mix of rum, wine and other flavors was so delicious! The twisty straw and plastic figurines made the drink so fun
- tater tots- best tater tots I've ever had: topped with caramel, scallions, cotija cheese, Thai chilli

This bar was super unique and had such a cool ambiance. I'm recommending this bar to everyone!

TLDR: Great experience, thoughtful atmosphere, and intentional flavors in food and drinks.

I'll try not to spoil too much, but there are many creative design choices that make for a unique experience.

Many items on the menu have ingredients that don't seem to pair well, but the items I tried were unique and delicious. The tater tots with caramel were some of the tastiest that I've had.

The wait staff were friendly and made it a great night.

I would come back for another drink.

Paradise lost is my favorite bar in NYC. I'm on a mission to take all my friends eventually!
As soon as you walk through the unassuming speakeasy style doors, you're immediately transported into a new world.

I absolutely love that that all of the drinks are rated for the liquor level (non alcoholic all the way up). Some even come with theatrics!
It's so detailed and well themed: from giant sharks to fuzzy doors.
There's even a surprise in the bathroom!

THE COOLEST NEW BAR IVE BEEN TO IN AWHILE. I randomly stumbled on this place last night after dinner after googling "cocktail bar near me" and wasn't expecting to walk into this... fever dream?

If you want a fun, theatrical experience, this is your spot. This is also not the place I would start at but maybe the bar I'd end the night at.

The drinks were also really good, I was pleasantly surprised.

Service was also super friendly, fast and helpful.

I can't wait to bring friends and out of towners here.

What a fun place! There is a vast cocktail selection so there is something for everyone. They really commit to the tiki bar concept too - I will definitely be back.

An incredible place with tasty drinks, decor and truly drinks with a show.

Service is quick and will make the drinks right in front of you. They have such a large variety of drinks that you really can't go wrong; I wish they had a sampler where you could pick a few and try!

I really want to come back and try more of their drinks

The coolest place in town. Reminds me of my favorite spot in Cleveland, LBM! Super neat atmosphere!

One word. Phenomenal. I love a good tiki bar, mix it in with a little satanic worship and you have a recipe for a great night out. Service is top notch as well, one of the friendliest servers I have had at a bar. I highly recommend the cobras fang and the pina colada! Also the popcorn... idk what they do to it... but it's divine

This bar is just really cool due to the environment and atmosphere. It is very inconspicuous from the outside and you have to ring the doorbell in order to get in. I had a reservation for 5:30 but they let us in a half hour early. The servers were really nice. Me and my friend purchased 3 drinks. They were all pretty good but they are pretty expensive. We purchased Tator tots which was crispy and spicy. Would recommend . This is a super cool spot to take a date
