All-around decent spot to park in the Civic Center area; the event rate of $15 seemed fair for the Black & White Ball, and I was honestly surprised at how empty it was! Plus, it was only a block away from Davies Symphony Hall, and there was also pretty good signage to direct cars to it.

Extremely convenient parking for Davis Symphony Hall, and the $15 flat rate isn't terrible - it's more than I'd like to pay (of course) but it's the most reasonable rate within short walking distance.
1 star comes off though for two reasons:
1) The attendant on the way in who tried demanding "cash only!"....then changed his tune to "it's okay, we take credit" after we said we didn't have the cash. Kinda shady - I understand they might *prefer* cash, but don't lie to customers.
2) On the way out, they routed us the VERY long way across the entire 1st level rather than let us go out the gate we were closest to. They let about every third car out the near gate and tried to make 2 out of 3 drive the way we were sent. Added several minutes to our wait to get out after the event.
Bottom line: I'd park here again for sure.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Ayelet B.Danville, CA8141925Sep 19, 2010
When it comes to finding a place to keep your car while you go to dinner and a show, this is a great choice. It's convenient, clean and easy to get in and out of. It's open until 1:00 am and has a flat rate of $15 when there is a performance. What else could you need?

Great parking garage esp if you're going to the opera or ballet. $12 flat rate, but they don't open until 5 pm and you can't get your car after midnight unless you want to pay $100 for a re-opening fee.

Be careful with this place - the website says the evening rate is $1/hr, but on event nights they charge much more. I was running late for the symphony and thought this would be an affordable place to park easily, but it definitely wasn't. Oh well. Lesson learned.

Very convenient to Davies Symphony Hall. Place was well lit and relatively clean. $12 flat rate for the evening.

I park here for work at least once or twice a week. I am in before 8:30 am and out before 5:00 pm. It is $13. I have been parking here for several years and I have found the staff to always be polite and friendly. The spaces are big so I don't have to worry about people scratching or dinging my car with their doors. Yes, I have had to wait to get out on few occasions, but it wasn't that long and I have waited longer at other city garages. It is a garage. You are at an event with a lot of people get over it, take public transit or park on the street. If there is discrepancy in the closing time, then we need to complain to the owners. The staff are stuck in that little booth all day and all evening in whatever weather sitting on that little chair or standing the entire time. They are probably paid peanuts compared to the people using the garage. There is a phone number on your receipt -- call and complain, but don't take it out on those parking attendants. Please. They are the nice ones.
