Persona

Persona is a relatively new cocktail bar that opened in 2021 in the Lower Nob Hill area. To get here, go down the stairs and you'll pass by their bright neon sign. The inside is a humongous space with a huge bar area and a bunch of tables and couches.

My first drink was the sweet paradise ($13) which was a sweeter drink from the guava and also fruity from the grapefruit. It was super easy to drink and the bartender torched the rosemary in front of me which added nice aromas. My second drink was the intersection ($17) which was a milk washed drink and a cross between a whiskey sour and an old fashioned. It was a sweet and citrus-y drink and was creamy from the egg white. My third drink was the pay close attention ($14) which was like a negroni so if you like those you'll like this drink.

The vibe was really chill and intimate when I went (Monday at ~5:30pm) but I'm sure it would get loud when it's packed because it's such a big space. My bartender Marcus was super cool and I had some good drinks here.

My gfs on a Friday night for happy hour - located slightly below street level on sutter- this romantic abode offers a sexy & dimly lit flair with lots of reservable tables. Although there's no food - the fancy cocktails make up for it, trust me. Bring you gals or date here around 6pm if you want a more quiet environment - or closer to 8 to catch a dj and crowd.

Bonus : bartenders are cute and there's a delish Mexican place right next door offering fresh made tortillas.. so, you can def hop around. Cheers

I was here on an off night, so it was a little bit slower. This gave us time to really check out the drink menu, which was very creative. I'll have to stop by the next time on a weekend night!

I usually find it hard to find bars I really enjoy going to downtown, and I really liked this one! Came here around 11pm on a Sat night with some friends since it's been on my bookmark list for so long. It was really aesthetic leading to the bar itself, and there was so much room to lounge! I was surprised by the amount of open space there was. There was a dj area, open seating with couches, and a lot of space at the bar, too!

I actually forgot which drink I ordered, and when we wanted to close out the tab, the bartender accidentally thought we said we wanted another drink so he made us another one and didn't charge us extra! I'd love to come back here, I liked the vibe a lot!

We had a happy hour with my team after work and we enjoyed the place a lot. They had non-alcoholic options as well which was great as many people in the group didn't drink. The menu is really fun and arty, it had some comics/drawings in it

This is my favorite new bar/lounge in SF to bring friends for a chill night. Great music, there was a live DJ on Friday night (a mix of bay area, hip-hop..) that will get you on the dance floor. Lots of lounge/seating for more private lounge/intimate hang with friends or bar seating. The bartenders are great, I asked for something citrus + gin and they killed it.

My husband and I visited Persona during our Labor Day weekend trip and had such a great time. The ambience was cool and we got there before the DJ set up his booth so we got to experience the chill atmosphere and also see how lively Persona can get.

The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable and we asked one the of the gentlemen to make something for us. The drinks are delicious and strong and we will definitely be coming back to Persona next time we are in San Francisco!

A fun speakeasy to come with friends! It's really loud tho so might be hard to talk if you go on Friday or Saturday's. I love the vibe tho, very loungey, and chill. There's a live DJ on the weekends. The drinks are pretty good, but not amazing in my opinion. Mostly love the good vibes and music here.

The two drinks I tried were fantastic. Depth of flavor, beauty, and enough amount to be satisfying. Service was friendly and came by often enough. I wish it was a bit less noisy, since the blasting music didn't really add much to the atmosphere.

The atmosphere was modern and more open than a speakeasy.
