BUYER BEWARE


I took too long to write this review. I scheduled an appointment with S&R with the intentions to make a same-day purchase. This took place on Black Friday of 2023. My family & I had already collectively bought cars from them ever

since they opened over 10 years ago. I still should've reassessed my approach & read other people's recent reviews before proceeding.

The first semi-red flag I ignored was the owner Bobby asking to speak to me in his office upon my arrival. Apparently, one of my sisters posted a bad review about our dad's BMW purchase experience in the past. Bobby ask me
if I posted it. He said he had advised my dad not to buy the BMW. I reassured him that I didn't know about any of it; and I felt okay proceeding to shop for myself.

The first actual reg flag I ignored was with the Sales Manager Jerry. I wanted to research and test drive a few cars of interest. Dave (Lead
Sales Rep) was nice and let me take my time. After a while, Jerry was rude and pushy about starting the finance process.

The second reg flag was the Financial Manager, Carlos (Tony) Aguirre drawing up my contract with about $4000 additional fees in anti-theft
and repair insurance coverage after I said no. Tony then became oddly condescending and pushy, trying to still convince me to include the additional packages. Then Dave (Lead Sales Rep)
had me wait in a freezing cold room while Tony revised the contract in his office.

The third reg flag was with Tony and Co-Owner Nicole. Nicole took my friend and I into her warm office to explain and sign the contract. Tony came in still trying to push me to agree with the same contract, while displaying fake smiles and energy to my face.
Nicole then makes me wait back out in the freezing cold room while she sat in her warm office making a new contract.

Here's a bonus red flag. After I handed Jerry $5000 cash and signed the final contract, they all magically became generically friendly and down to earth. Jerry even told my friend who was with me not to bring me if they ever came back to shop; as if he was
making an innocent joke.

The fourth reg flag was me having to drive off in my car that evening with the TPMS indicator light on. Tony said it'd eventually go off after I drove for 10-20 miles. That it was just from the car sitting. In the end, I had to get four new tire pressure monitor
sensors a week later, because 3 out of 4 weren't working and the owner Bobby wouldn't cover the cost.

The fifth red flag was me having to call AAA a week after purchase who determined that the car needed a new alternator. So, I had my car towed to S & R Motors just to be safe. The Financial Manager (Tony) was disrespectful, argumentative, and yelling on the
phone with me like I was trying to cause some problems illegitimately. Again,
Bobby would only agree to replace the alternator and not the TPMS sensors, despite everything.

I would've never anticipated all those reg flags considering my relationship with Bobby and his team over the years. I should've never given them the benefit of doubt and put myself through all of that just because my two previous purchases with Bobby were
pleasant. That's never a way to buy a vehicle. Unfortunately S & R Motors will no longer get my business, and I'll advise my family and friends to do the same.

This place is HORRIBLE!


I do not recommend this place to anyone wanting to buy a car. They just clean the vehicles and put them out for sale. Doesn't seem they have proper inspections done here. The owner is a terrible individual and a liar.


DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HORRIBLE DEALER SHIP. You're better off going to a brand name dealer. 0 stars from me.

Great customer service! They were knowledgeable of all vehicles specialty. This is our 2nd purchase with S&R Motors. We look forward to working with them again. Highly recommended!

TL;DR waste of time and this is a dealership masquerading as an inspection site only to lowball you then ask to buy your car at a lower price, and make up reasons that it isn't worth as much.

I came to S&R Motors off of KBB instant cash offer to sell my car. Upon arriving, I was greeted nicely by Nicole who explained that they simply "do inspections" as an inspection site and send out bids for your car to "Carmax, Tesla, Carvana and a bunch of independent dealerships" and they will present you the best offer. I talked to Dave and Gary(?) who both seem to work in the back office. Dave is a used car salesman and Gary seems to be the one who puts out quotes. While initially Gary asked how much I wanted for it, and said hey this is a perfect condition car, when he came back, he showed two very low offers from Carmax and KBB proper. Ultimately the amount was so low I felt insulted because carvana had actually offered me higher.

Ultimately Dave came out and said hey you don't have maintenance records attached to your carfax so the car isn't worth much, so now let me ask what we can buy it off of for you. I quoted what Nicole had said, and Dave said that is wrong???

So what kind of game is this dealership playing trolling each other..

Re: the offer Dave gave - We were too far in price, but for both my interactions with Dave and Nicole they started to ramble on stories about car accidents and safety, and comparisons to other cars. It's almost fun watching this dealership operate?

+1 star back because Nicole was nice and this was entertainment value, even if ultimately a waste of time because other big brand car dealerships all gave higher offers than this small dealership.

I just want to say thank you to the whole team that helped get me in my Prius V. They said from the beginning that they would make the process as easy as possible and they weren't lying. I drove in from about an hour away and wasn't sure what to expect. Also, as a first time buyer, the process can be intimidating and not always easy but Jerry, Tony & team made the experience enjoyable. Im so glad I made the drive. They did everything they could to get me in the car I wanted and I'm super stoked with my deal.
