A fantastic small authentic Thai on Park Avenue in Murray Hill. The service is wonderful and the atmosphere is great for a business meal, a date or any occasion. I really enjoyed the Mango salad and the appetizer sampler--calamari, fried chicken wontons and spring rolls. The Pla Rad Prik or fried sea bass was outstanding. I ordered my standard drunken noodles with shrimp and was not disappointed--the right amount of heat for me. I also enjoyed the Khao Soi or yellow curry, chicken shallots, egg noodles, and bean sprouts. This is one of the best Thai restaurants in Midtown Manhattan--right in Murray Hill. Please check this place out.

Great ambiance/ mood lighting with friendly staff!
For appetizers we had spring rolls that were really crispy and filled well. The dipping sauce was perfectly sweet and tangy.
I had the pad kra pow - it was delicious and a really large serving size. I had enough to eat for lunch the next day!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ryan R.Galveston, TXJun 23, 2024
Food was solid! Not too sweet on the pad Thai. Service was quick and accommodating. Nice chill place for a date night!

This place is a gem on Park Ave. We had no reservations and seated at the bar which had plenty of room.
The hostess and bar tender were attentive and helpful, we ordered margaritas which were okay. It had too much ice for me for $18.
However, the food was GREAT. Ordered the pad Thai with shrimp, sea bass and chicken satay. My favorite was the chicken satay, it's a great appetizer. On the pad Thai they added a crunchy tempura chips on the top that was good. I would come here again and would recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 10, 2023
This place was a life saver, I never had any idea how hard it would be to book a dinner for 10 people in Manhattan during a week day. I must've tried 20 restaurants in Flatiron before I found Sabai.
They made it so easy, when they asked me to confirm I said Thai and stop me... They still gave me the reservation despite that ;)
Food was great if a little pricey, but hey it's Manhattan and work was paying :) I tried the Massaman curry w/ roti ($26) and Pad see ew w/ chicken ($22). Definitely recommend either.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 25, 2023
It was a Friday night and we made reservations, however we arrived a bit late so had to wait a bit before being seated. Once seated, we looked at the menu and both decide to order different types of pad thai; pad thai gai yang with duck and pad thai with chicken and chicken satay. All the dishes were delicious and we also order some to go to share with family as well.
Overall, I think the food at the restaurant is good and the ambiance inside were nice and the staff were attentive.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - Aug 20, 2023
Got here quite late for a reservation but the staff was gracious and found us seating after about 10 mins of waiting. Our hostess was great and guided us through the menu and spices level which was helpful. I went full Thai spicy for the steak and noodles dish. It was worth every cent. Cleaned out my plate very quickly. One of the best spiced steaks I've ever had but it was still so tender. Excellent. Can't wait to go try out the rest of the menu. Inside is nice fine dining experience. One of the best Thai I've had

Came here for a friends birthday and I have to admit it didn't WOW me. Everything was just alright but we are paying manhattan prices for it. The decor is amazing tho, when you first walk in - it is a beautiful restaurant. As for the food, I've definitely had better but by all means it was not terrible. Just eh, 3/5 stars. The best thing I liked was probably the shrimp as it was fried to perfection. As for my main, it was just OK.

Fancy interior, nice ambiance and decent service. This place is fancy looking and definitely a place to go to in the city if you want some classic Thai dishes in a fancy setting with high ceilings. The prices are a bit high for what you get but that's if you compare your experiences with other Thai restaurants. It's hard not to just based on the food. I like the classic and simple Thai menu. I like that this place is good for groups and has that bit of Midtown flare.
Our group got a duck pad thai along with pad thai with grilled chicken and another duck dish. We also ordered some classic Thai iced teas. While prices were higher than normal for the same type of food (I said that already, didn't I?), the presentation and plating was immaculate and fancy. It says a lot about how this place does want to cater to a slightly more upscale crowd but does not want to mess around with the integrity of classic Thai cuisine which is amazing. Also, there is only one bathroom for the whole restaurant so hopefully you go when it's not too busy. Overall, a good experience here.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - hakjik l.Queens, NYSep 27, 2023
