I had to return my FULL AmeriGas 5 gallon propane tank because the valve was not working and the gas would not flow. I could not find the actual receipt as requested by Mgr. Aaron but I did print off the many charges (Quickbooks) I've had at the truckstop over the last couple months. Aaron said he could not replace the tank without the proper receipt and without verifying his records. I do understand he must answer to someone else but this was my 3rd visit to try to resolve this. I explained I live down the street and have been a regular customer for over 20 years. No such luck.
I went to Home Depot in West Sac and explained the situation. They exchanged the tank at no charge and I purchased another as well. Now that is good service and PR. I do hope the owner(s) of the 49r Truck Stop give their managers a bit more leeway in making exceptions to their rules. (I did call AmeriGas and they said they did not have the means to help me either)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nino D.CA, CA59819Jun 26, 2021
Used to frequent this place a lot. It was much like a greasy spoon diner from the south with a wide variety of made to order classics. Last time I went - now this was in the pandemic- it was super weird. I was at the wrong end of the line at the cafeteria. I had to place my order then go to the gas station to pay, and wait for the cook to come back up and get my receipt so he could start cooking. Then we had to wait to be seated. Really weird. It is no longer the diner I appreciated. Very limited menu and they were out of the first three things I tried to order. So I was stuck with something I ordered out of desperation and didn't enjoy it. Is this the new normal? Please bring back the good food you had before you remodeled and before you made the cafeteria line.

This review is for the gas station store and pumps only. They jack the prices up for cigarettes. Blame it on 'local taxes'. Yeah right. Also, paid cash $40 because the pumps don't take credit cards for some reason. Went out to pump gas. Stops at $39.50. So I think..geez..I am in a hurry but this is not right..go into the mart and am told..'Oh did the pump stop $.50 early? Yes I say. Oh - that's a glitch. Well how many other customers have just said FI and left? What a rip off. Got my $.50 back and that's the last 'back' I will be.

Good meeting spot for the family conveniently located next to the freeway.
The waitresses are professional and old school.
This is a 1950 time warp.

I hope my first post doesn't get deleted by writing an update post. Years after that incident (2018) i just noticed The owner wrote a comment on my review (2019) saying that they apologized to me. Lies I put my phone # and info into their "customer complaint box" yes they have 1 of those which shows you how much shit they put people through. I was never called or otherwise contacted.

We know this happened about a year ago now, but wanted to publicly say that this incident was treated very seriously and internal disciplinary action was taken.
Apr 5, 2018Previous reviewThere's a guy named K.C. (old white guy) that works as the maintenance man. In the parking lot (drunk) he walks up to the people walking their dogs telling everyone they have to leave (out of the clear blue). He smelled of liquor and was acting very hostile, so i backed away from him to not create a conflict, he said "you got a problem?!" with his fists balled up. I threatened to call the police after that. Then as i was walking to the office to report him, HE TRIED TO HIT ME WITH HIS CAR! Mind you he is DRUNK AF "driving" and attempted to hit me with a deadly weapon.

They do a great job with their RV customers. Good food, LP fills, and even washing of the rig for a reasonable cost.

***NOTICE*** To all Non-CDL commercial drivers, travelers or any other pilot/flying J loyal customers or "the public" as they put it. They will not honor the shower credits on your card unless you present a CDL License, even if you have 5 showers on your card. If you ask me, anyone who buys 50 gallons a.k.a. $200 of fuel in California should get a shower if thats the program, or else don't front as an actual Pilot or Flying J.

What an absolute horrible experience from a "travel center" I own a business in which I travel for work. I have a regular route where I travel from San Diego to Sebastopol and I often sleep in my work van at truck stops. I mix it up, I get hotels occasionally, I have a few businesses that I service I just crash in their parking lot the night before or after. I often shower at these truck stops, usually eat, ALWAYS fill up on snacks and ALWAYS get fuel. This place has lost my business FOREVER. I service my clients monthly, so I have my "regular" monthly "stops" Until tonight I had been crashing in their parking lot, once a month for the past year or so without incident. Tonight I had a security guard wake me up just before 1:00 am and told me I was trespassing. He acted like a cop, always have to love those guys. A few minutes later a security car came through blaring a siren with a loud speaker and announcing to everyone in the parking lot they were loitering and were risking getting arrested, cute. This review is not so much a review as a it is a note to whoever is in charge of generating income for this place. Have no fear, I won't be "loitering" on your property ever again or spending the approximately $200.oo per month moving forward. As a business I would think you would be looking at ways to welcome travelers instead of alienating them.

It's been awhile that I've been here with my with as I go a lot with her on road trip all over California and then some. I'm not hash out on the truck driver that come here, but try wearing sone cologne lol. I know how it is though I've been with out a shower for 2 days because we had a none stop delivery,Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0
