This place has some delicious barbecue. Got my first taste when they were part of a catering event at my workplace and I couldn't wait to come back.
We got the two meat platter and the Pitt wings. The beef brisket is absolutely amazing - soft, tender and full of flavor. My wife was personally impartial to the ribs because she really tasted the lovely smokey flavor and the meat came off the bones super easily. The Pitt wings were pretty good, but we felt like they were basted with too much sauce, though I suppose that is entirely to preference.
It would have been a 5 star for the food alone, but we both felt the service was lacking. There was no one consistently monitoring the front desk. Dine in customers couldn't tell if they could get a seat because takeout orders were huddled around the front desk, and there was absolutely no clear order. Waited for a solid 30 minutes because no one was managing the doorway, only to be told that we were basically first in line. I think the waitstaff were quite polite and nice, but they just seemed too busy to really be very attentive, even after we were seated.
Also, there's no point in wearing a face mask if you're going to have it tucked under the chin half the time. Just get another face covering if that's the case.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Maria E.WA, WA02Mar 18, 2023
WOW!! Everything we ordered was amazing. Brisket, ribs, "Sammiches" and all the sides - pit beans, cornbread, potato salad. The beer and cider was also great. 7 hours later and I'm still stuffed - and very happy. Highly recommend!

The ribs are to die for along with either chicken or brisket combo. Second time there love it

A relatively new spot in North Vancouver. Since Memphis Blue closed shop, it's been a struggle to find good BBQ on the North Shore. Look no more - award winning Smoke and Bones. Our waiter was Tyler and he was super personable and well informed on the menu. He was thorough on checking for egg and nut allergy issues.
We went as just a family of four. Tyler recommended that we get the BBQ platter. It was $62 and had a great assortment of meat (bbq chicken, beef brisket, pulled pork, sausage, and rib) plus beans (spicy), cornbread, white slices of bread, and fries - plus we subbed out the coleslaw and regular potato salad for a hot potato salad because of the mayo in the slaw and potato salad.
Neither myself or my wife felt like drinking on this night as we had our two youngest with us, and Tyler never gave us a hint of that being an issue - which was great. The food was more than enough for the four of us. Our favourite meats were the beef brisket and pulled pork - sausage also very good. There are different BBQ sauces that go with the different meats if you ask for them. But the beef brisket BBQ is just the best!!!! . My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I really enjoyed the hot potato salad, which was a baked potato with chives/ real bacon/ corn/ sour cream - diced up like potato salad. Really good. The beans were spicy, our oldest son didn't eat them because they were too hot for him.
When it starts to get busy, the wait staff end up a little overwhelmed. The liquor is heavy on whisky because of the southern influence. The beer and wine selection is very short - which is one of the drawbacks as I'm personally not much of a whiskey drinker.
We will definitely be back, and will consider catering from there as well. Thanks Tyler.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 12, 2018
Interesting place!!! Good service and nice menu. Affordable and great portions.
Always fully crowded which is a good sign.
We 4 arrived at 5:45pm on Sunday and did not have to wait to be seated. Almost arrived at Happy hour but nobody mentioned it to us.
House red wine was so good.
Strongly recommend brisket and ribs.
Chili con carne was very delicious.
Southern chicken soup was very strong in tomato flavour for our taste.
Apart from this, all the other dishes were delicious.
It is a place to be visited again .Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - O M.North Vancouver, Canada17Mar 27, 2022
Everything we ordered arrived lukewarm, very salty and meat was hard. Tiny cornbread, but actually not a real cornbread, but a tony muffin. Smallest portion of taco ever. Not ordering again

We paid 60 dollars on DoorDash just to get this amount? Also the meat isn't that good either lmao. SCAM.

Been coming here for a while but noticed a huge markup recently on the Full slab ribs. Not only that but it came with a pathetic serving of fries. Love the ribs but I felt ripped off.

Wasn't as busy as I thought it would be on a Saturday night but there is a Happy hour available after 9PM
DELICIOUS BBQ items. We were three people and could t finish the party platter that states it serves 2-3 :)
Lovely patio -
We had so much we took home the leftovers and made fajitas.
Platter includes beans, coleslaw, succulent tender beef that melts in your mouth, ribs, chicken drumsticks, cornbread, fries, potato salad and shredded pork with some bread slices and pickles and bbq sauce to make your own sandwich with.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
