I been a sonic customer for 3 to 4 years, never had a problem, well it was at&t but sonic provided the customer service I guess
Found out that sonic had fiber so I signed up but it took them like a month to install it, I had an appointment and they moved it so finally after a month or so I got sonic yee,
it was installed Saturday, by Monday it wasn't working, called support and the soonest appointment was Saturday, so no work from home, no security cameras for my house or tv
Saturday got fixed, by Tuesday it was down again by that time I was fuming, called tech support, that time I waited 48 minutes but no answer, gave up and dial 1 so they could call me.
TYLER from sonic called , I explained the whole situation expecting some sympathy but since the beginning he was condescending and defying not a good combination when he is the customer service and I a very upset customer
I asked TYLER, after so many mistakes what sonic was going to do for me. On my experience even at a restaurant when they make a mistake, they give you some thing
I was expecting him to say I am sorry, let me see what I can do and if a got a piece of gum, I'll would have been happy, instead he said sonic is not going to give you any, I was not calling to cancel but TYLER was the cherry on the poop cake, sonic internet is garbage as well as his customer service, sonic is internet and customer service that's all they are so I couldn't be with a company like this so I cancel
sonic was the good guy and at&t the bad guy but they are the same now and I'll say that at&t is more reliable than sonic because for 3 to 4 years, I never had a problem
What I learned is that sonic is the best if you don't use there service but when you use there service and some thing goes wrong, forget about the nice people

Thank you for your time and feedback. I am incredibly sorry that you were having service issues. While we do try to keep our customer service up for as long as possible, there are unforeseen things that we can not prepare for. We try to keep our customers as up-to-date as possible when any type of outage occurs and work with our Dispatch Team to get Techs out there ASAP. I am sorry that we were not able to keep the service running during critical working hours for you.
I would like to talk about Tyler for a second. I was able to review the call with you and him, and to me, Tyler performed his job extremely well and respectfully. While I can understand your frustration during the call, saying Tyler was not helpful in your situation is incorrect. He offered to hear what type of compensation you would like and explained our own compensation practices. I do apologize if you felt Tyler was not the correct fit for this conversation.
If you want to keep the service, I would love the opportunity to fix these outage issues. Feel free to DM me.

This service is good for the first year or two but after Covid they raised the prices on my parents to over $80 whole throttling the internet. They lied about this until I showed them the data packets and interpreted them (apparently they just bs people who don't have a background in tech) and un-throttled the internet for about a month.
I don't live here so it's difficult to to manage for my parents but man they really think I will let them continue to take advantage of us. We been customers for about 8 years and get nothing but disrespect and lazy people who don't want to do anything. My internet was down for a week and while my mom called they claimed no one let them know (as if they cannot see how long the line has been down for) and tried to shirk any responsibility. I cancelled service because I asked for a discounted rate (as new customers get $50-$60 service when I pay over $80) and they refused flat out in a impolite manner several times as if what I was asking was unreasonable. I am going to t mobile as they gave me a flat $40 unlimited data cap for what will be better internet speeds. Don't believe the lies of gigabit internet they are all marketing ploys you won't get anywhere near that if you look at the data packets through wire shark and command line. Regular speed testers are superficial and not accurate at all.
Another funny thing is I received an email from Sonic giving me 2 free months and the $49.99 deal to which I figured why not only to be called by this manager again and denied the deal. Very disrespectful man power tripping at a call center. I plan to file a complaint against him as well for his unprofessional behavior.
I highly recommend going with anyone else. I have had even better (still crappy) experiences with xfinity in their non contract internet deals.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you for taking the time to review our service. I'm sorry that we misinformed you during the initial call that it was possible to downgrade your service to save some money. Unfortunately, that wasn't a possibility for the service you were on. We price our service as low as we can and offer various benefits to make it competitive, such as no data caps, symmetrical speeds on our fiber service, and our customer service with no phone tree to navigate before you talk to someone.
When you called in because your service was down, we were able to get a technician out the following morning who was able to get you back up and running. Beyond that one issue, I could not find any emails or calls related to you experiencing slower than expected speeds on our service. If you still have those emails or know the number your mom called or when she called, I'd be happy to review what happened and why you didn't get the support you requested. Again, I'm sorry the service wasn't as good as you expected, and I hope you're able to find a service that better suits your needs. Five star experience. Sonic delivers on network performance and the price is what they advertise, which is half of the competition. Never had any trouble with the service and the people are friendly and polite. On top of all that, they aren't a huge corporation which betrayed the American people, like some telecom companies. I highly recommend them.

Sonic is an excellent internet provider if they provide you internet, however, they offer internet through At&t in some instances. If you sign up with Sonic through At&t, prepare to be very disappointed. Sonic can't service the units, sonic can't restore internet, sonic can't send workers to your location and so far, I have had better luck calling At&t myself than using Sonic. They also charge a premium. It would be cheaper to simply use At&t since you will be using At&t anyway.

Sorry to hear the re sold AT&T services did not work out. It is true that we cannot send our technicians to repair physical damage but our support team can schedule for AT&T to arrive when needed. The price tends to be more expensive because we are reselling the service but it comes with a few perks such as no data caps and we provide a VPN service for security and privacy. Hopefully we can bring pure Sonic Fiber services to your area in the future.

Faster, cheaper internet than we've been getting. Plus, the service has been great. Scott Chen came out here to fix our internet after our construction crew had messed up some cables and got a hairy situation figured out.

I've been supremely happy with fiber optic service through Sonic. Crazy fast. Super reliable. And their tech support is fantastic in the rare occasions when needed.

I switched Sonic Internet a few months ago and I have been quite satisfied. Very high speed fiber capability both up and down, service has been reliable and the cost is ~20% less than my previous service provider. I have recommended Sonic to several of my friends but some cannot get it yet because it is currently not available in their area. I tell them to keep trying to hopefully encourage Sonic to expand to their area.
