You've read the other reviews and there isn't much more to add. Extremely uncomfortable tiny tight seats, upcharges for everything including your actual seat (your ticket only gets you through security- not a seat on the plane) luggage, carry ons, and even bottled water and Diet Coke on the flight are extra.
HOWEVER, hence the two stars, my flight was on time, the crew was fine and no turbulence. (Although the cheap seats, no cushioning and overall dumpiness makes you fear it's unsafe - not a good thing). I flew cross country (which is crazy in this cramped seat and I don't recommend that) but I could see this for a quick one hour "jaunt" to LA or Las Vegas. The most fake and really bad service.

Booked a flight for two from St. Louis, Mo to Orlando, Fl, on June 7, 2022, within days my return trip was cancelled. I had to reschedule a return flight home to the tune of another $130. I waited and waited for something other than a confirmation code. As my trip got closer I called customer service and was told my flights were canceled and a full refund for future travel was issued. Having nothing but bad luck, and them having $785+&130 of my money I spent another hour on the phone rebooking my flights only to be hung up on at the last point. I called right back and was told I had no credit as it had been used for 4 different flights, months earlier by someone, and I had no refund or credit due. My money, my flight is gone. Customer service just said we will investigate but doubt that my money will be returned and to call back for a status update in 7-14 days. Its the light skin dragon, blasting through the air but not thanks to spirit airline.
First let me say if you receive an email saying your flight is delay 30 mins so my flight was from 9:30pm but they delayed it till 10pm. So everyone knows you have to check in a hour before your flight leaves to get on. Only for international flights you check in 2 hours before. So I planed on coming to the airport at 8:30pm to make sure I could fly back on time. but I got the email saying it was delayed. I was like ok cool I could spend more time with my family than. Now since its been delayed I am leaving at 9 to make it on time!!! Come to find out at 9pm they switched it back till normal flight.
Now my coach (bonus dad) driving me to the airport and I got there around 9:03pm While I was arriving at the terminal to check in for my flight from spirit airline in Oakland trying to come back to Los Angeles. I went to the terminal and checked in at the kiosk and took the paper and started to power walk to tsa to get searched while I looked at the paper and it says see reception. I immediately ran back to go and talk to somone and I waited because a few people did the same thing I did.
So the lady reception said you have to be here 45 min before the flights boards. and I said my flight was delayed and im here way before the time it suppose to leave. She was like sorry the plane leaves at 9:30 so I said here is the email saying it was delayed. She said either I can buy another ticket for 99 dollars for Monday and their is nothing she can do about it.
I asked her can I speak to her supervisor. Then he came out and he was saying the same thing that she was saying so I called my family up and explained to them what happened and they were like can they accommodate you a ticket for tomorrow because why would they send a email saying that the flight is delayed? and I was not about to leave there until I got on a plane period!!!!!!!!!! mean while a lady bought a different ticket for tomorrow and another gentleman was having the same issue that I was having and another lady.
But I explained to him thats not cool!!! He said to be there 2 hours before your plane leaves. and he was typing some stuff up on the computer and he intercom someone saying yes there will be a few more people coming up to tsa.
Soooo for by far this was the WORST experience I ever had to deal with from the air line. may I say I came from Chicago in united to Oakland. oh my god (omg) the tickets are cheap but the way they run their stuff sucks. Have to pay for snacks or drinks on the plane and the seats don't even recline back. Shaking my head (smh)

Dont go with this airline! 100 bucks per baggage fee! We traveled with 2 bags! 100 person 100 going there and 100 coming back! That's going there and coming back! Do the math! 400 bucks! It was more then just the airline ticket its self!

Whatever you do..... do not waste your time or money on this airline. Prices are expensive, no customer service, and I was basically robbed out of $500 with this airline. I do not recommend and I wish I would have done my research before booking a flight with them.

I paid about half of what I would have on Southwest airlines but the seats were so hard and of course we had to pay extra for the aisle seats and the carry-on luggage. They did give us a cup of water on our 5-hour flight. Several drinks are available for about $9 each. There were snacks available for various prices.

I fly Spirit every month and I truly am disgusted with the service. If you ever leave something behind, they do not even bother to look. There's been over 7occasions when I left materials behind and they gave no effort. Trust that you will get your moneys worth and trust you will get the worst service you will ever get with this airline.
I flew today From Houston to Oakland and I left my surgical tweezers and I called and spoke to Ramon and before I could describe my item that was missing he cut me off and said they don't have the item I described. I paused and explained that I had not even described it.
They do not actually have a lost and found department where people look of lost items. If an item was left behind the crew takes it for themselves. Be extra careful when you fly on this plane and triple check everything. Be very cautious as well of the staff with Spirit at the Oakland Airport they're management is extremely rudeHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Aug 13, 2018Previous reviewThis is the most tasky airline I've ever flew. It's worth to pay a little more for a more relatable transportation source. I fly twice a month on Spirit and I booked a flight that was supposed to leave at 8pm. The flight was delayed until the next day and don't get in until midnight. The manager Ramon was so rude at he counter. He kept saying calm down but he would not listen to me and when I spoke he would cut me off and say he understands. Ramon had me wait 3 hours to explain to me that I had to come back the next day when he knew this all along. Before I waited 3 hours they assured me that they would put me on another airline and to hold tight. I don't appreciate them lying to me and putting me off. I knew this because I was on the phone with Spirit as they made me wait for 3 hours . I had to sleep in the airport and Spirit did not offer any accommodations....

They didn't let me in the plane after they were 45 min late. I was waiting sitting down. They never called zones or my name. The older white lady and younger black girl their were very rude. And on top of all that. A gentleman behind me comes on scans his boarding pass and went on. As they told me no one else could go on the flight. Terrible airline and service. Will not be flying with spirt ever again.
