Got al pastor and carnitas tacos, and asada fries.
The al pastor was flavorless and dry. The pineapple on top was good. The carnitas had an unpleasant flavor, and none of that crispy on the outside juicy inside kind of deal you might expect from carnitas. No these were dry and again by themselves, pretty flavorless.
Asada fries were also not great. The potatoes needed some salt or seasoning. The salsa was not spicy at all. The guac was good.
We won't be coming back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Eryn C.Sacramento, CA021Mar 12, 2024
This was a great experience for someone coming in for a drink and great food! Jose was my bartender! Very accommodating. 1000/10 I'll definitely make this my new go to place now that I'm nearby.

I stumbled upon this spot on foot and realized it was on my list of places to try. They serve complimentary Blue corn tortilla chips which is unique. Their salsas are seasoned well and taste great. I ordered 4 different tacos.
Pastor taco: B
Good flavor, but the meat was rather dry.
Carnitas taco: A-
Definitely the best taco out of the four I tried. Tasted great and the carnitas was tender.
Shrimp taco: B
Solid. I like that the shrimp is chopped up and easy to eat.
Nopales taco: C
I've only tried cactus a couple of times and I think it's just not my favorite ingredient. It's like a well cooked tender bell pepper but doesn't have much flavor.
Overall, a decent spot for street tacos that is well priced.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - Dec 21, 2021
Honestly 3 stars is being kind.
The service was good but the food was sad. We went for the carne asada fries and let me tell you what a let down. It looked good on the reviews but when we received the order I was quite surprised and disappointed. The carne looked rubbery and just bland. The only thing that saved it was the guacamole and then salsa. Other than that just no. There was also no nacho cheese.
My niece ordered the quesadilla another disappointment. We didn't anticipate the tortilla to be the street tacos tortilla but I guess ?
I ordered the horchata it just tasted bland must not have been mixed properly.
Very disappointing given the reviews. Won't be returning...Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Nov 19, 2021
The tacos here look pretty good so I got a couple (as well as chicken nachos because why not?).
Chorizo & al pastor tacos: I was surprised on how bland these tacos were. I mean, yeah, the pineapple ring piece on the al pastor taco helped a lot in that regard but the al pastor meat itself was just fatty and flavorless. The chorizo, *the* choice of meat that should be packed with flavor, had barely any taste. Was very much confused with these tacos. IDK Maybe I was supposed to pair some tequila with them, as the name of the place suggests.
Chicken nachos: good thing I ordered these because these were actually tasty. Bonus points towards the chicken, which had some crispy char-y goodness. If I wanted to be nit-picky, the guacamole didn't taste fresh and there was a bit too much refried beans. Also, there wasn't enough chips, but I eventually ended up eating the nachos with a fork as if they were from a deconstructed burrito.
Overall disappointed on the tacos (wished they were as delicious as they look) but I do recommend getting the nachos.Helpful 16Thanks 0Love this 12Oh no 0 - Rich H.Sacramento, CA63364373May 5, 2023
Reg Asada burrito was delish. Beans had good flavor. Like the way they make them. Meat we also good. Wish it had a lil but more of it tho. Salsa bar is terrific. Love the peanut salsa. Nice kick.
Asada taco was ample w good flavor.
Overall a top notch place to try. They have a bar off to the side serving your favorite beverage. Give 'em a try

Still great burritos! The spicy red salsa they have was a bit watery today, with little spice, I'm hoping today was just an off day. Chicken was very juicy and flavorful today and I love the cheese they use!

Their margaritas and mixed drinks are good and their bar area is very cute! Fast service and always friendly. Their green salsa is the best green salsa in sacramento and their spicy red is just that, spicy! And full of amazing flavor!

We went here for the 1st time yesterday. I had the Al Pastor tacos. They are the best Al Pastor I have ever had, the had pineapple in them and so much meat that was tender and has an incredible flavor. My fiance had nachos and they looked really good. The young lady that took our order was very sweet. The bartender had zero personality, but he did make a great margarita ~ so there is that. I will definetly be returning.

Great service and great food/drinks at a seemingly family-owned business.
We always come here in the late evening and regardless of how busy it is, we are always greeted with authentic smiles and fast service. Food usually takes 5-7 mins to arrive at your table once ordered.
I personally love the Al pastor tacos because it comes with a slice of grilled pineapple on top which gives a little more pizazz to the already well-marinated/seasoned meat.
Shrimp tacos are also very delicious and have a different taste from all the shrimp tacos around sac.
Drinks are yummy ranging from the Horchata to the Guava Margarita.
It is obvious that they put in a lot of effort into curating their menu. Thank you, Tacoa!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
