Hey TJ Maxx, if you want customers to buy stuff maybe try putting price tags on said stuff? And maybe train store associates to be more pleasant while you're at it.

Actually let me amend that. The lady who helped me in the home section was the nicest. The guy at checkout didn't know what to do with an untagged grocery item (barcodes are useless apparently) refused to ring it up or have someone locate a replacement. So maybe train your store associates RINGING UP CUSTOMERS what to do to not lose a sale. Dude at the checkout counter just lost you my $$.

Conviently located in the Financial district the outlet of Tjmaxx is not huge but they do carry a little bit of everything. Offlate I have felt TJmaxx's quality of merchandise is coming down and prices are going up and this location also had the same problem.

It is hard to find a floor represntative in case one needs helps with some size or design. One can diefinitely miss this location and head to much more better organised Century 21 couple of blocks away.

Great cosmetic/ body care section with lots of new items every week. I recently found a Too Faced eyeshadow palette for $15. They also carry some higher end brands like Dr. Brandt. Despite the fact this is a smaller location, I always find fun stationary in their home section, and I've gotten some cute (fake) plants to decorate my cubicle.

However, some of the staff shouldn't be allowed to interact with other humans. I was called to cashier 6 and the lady behind me was called cashier 7, but both were occupied, so we went to the next open registers. The person ringing me up had a meltdown because I went to the "wrong register" (completely not my fault). She started talking loudly to her co-worker about how "they can't just go to any register they want." This was clearly a matter of their automated line control system glitching out. It wasn't a big deal and any confusion was rectified in less than 2 seconds. Anyway, after the cashier finished talking about me RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, she proceeded to throw my things in a bag while avoiding eye contact.

I come to this store to do some relatively inexpensive retail therapy. I probably won't be making this location a priority anytime soon unless I'm in a pinch.

Decent options found in this store for socks, a casual dress among other items like umbrellas and photo frames.
Racks are packed to the gills so take time if u are looking for the diamond in the rough.
Bring a jacket to keep warm as the front door blows in a gush of wind each time the doors open which happens to be in front of the women's dresses section.
The check out line moves quickly.

super clean and organized store. I went about 10am on a weekday and there were a lot of people working there, so you can definitely get help and assistance quickly. The only thing that was a bummer the line was a little long during check out, there were 3 cashiers open and maybe about 10 people in line? Items are awesome here, they have a lot of high end items at this location too.

The elimination of the baby department at this location is most unfortunate. The section didn't occupy a large area and made great use of the space it was allocated. It was also heavily trafficked every time I visited it to select from a wide variety of apparel, toys, and gear made by well-known brands for convenient, affordable "meet the baby" gifts. The proximate alternatives--bougie banker baby boutiques in Battery Park City, Kidville in FiDi with limited selection and inflated prices, or the Lilliputian level of Hell in Century 21--are far from ideal.

This store is poorly merchandised, but I do come in about once a month and take a quiz look at the men's dept. I have had the best luck in the pet section.

Tried to return something that was missing parts of what was supposed to be inside, the manager said I should've looked in it first....

Featured in this behemoth of a building on wall street, the TJ Maxx is actually quite small!
I want more discounts, more selection. Things are kinda all squished together. The only good part is there isn't a huge crowd, because downtown is dead after Happy Hour or during the hours when those wall streeters are busy making their millions.

I do appreciate the fact that they have pretty organized stuff, usually when I walk into one of these stores, their clothing and items all over the place. Watch out for the sensors, I walked by the door with a purse that started going all alarm meltdown on me. I wasn't even that close to the door really.

Horrible service. Bought a candle and requested it to be wrapped securely but they responded with the tone and attitude saying we don't HAVE extra bags. Will avoid this store
