100/100 recommend ! I'm glad I got a chance to experience this fairly new experience that's recreating an Iconic 1930s Photo of workers on a beam that had a part of building the city . The beam takes you 800 feet over the air & rotators you over the city . I was so nervous to do this but it wasn't bad at all and once you're at the top the view is beautiful ! I would so do this again !

Have been here a few times and it seems they keep making the experience better and better by adding new attractions or interactive things to do. I highly recommend going here instead of the Empire State Building as from Top of the Rock you will be able to see the Empire State Building. Recommend going at sunset or in the evening for the best views.

This was one of the worst experiences of my life. Maybe it was my fault for thinking "gee, sunset would be a nice time to see the city from an observation deck!" But that dumbness on my part aside....

First off, this is way overpriced for just going up in an elevator. It's 10000% tourists and Rockefeller Center is just raking in the cash from this. The staff is unbelievably rude for the amount you pay. I mean, I guess no one ever said this is a customer service experience. But I was shocked at the yelling- maybe they're used to speaking to people all day who don't understand them so they think this is ok? Not sure, but I interacted with probably a dozen employees and they were all rude, yelling, and herding us like cattle.

There's zero educational component- you don't learn anything about the building architecture, what else goes on at 30 Rock, how tall the building is, even how many visitors they get daily/annually/whatever. I guess my expectations were too high.

When we were at the top I actually feared for my life. Crowd crush is a real thing. You are shoulder to shoulder with people and some get pretty irate about not being given a turn at the front to see the view. Seriously, I thought I was going to witness a fight a couple of times. There's no organization. There's no monitoring how long you've been up there for (on the bright side, you could probably stay all day if you wanted to!).

In summary, chalk this up to "I should have known better." But if you aren't a fan of super touristy spots, avoid this at all costs because it was worse than Times Square on a Friday night.

We had booked our tickets to go and try the beam on top of the Rockefeller center. It's been all over social media so my friends couldn't wait to go all together. We were expected to see lines of people but actually it was the opposite. We arrived at the location at 2pm. We took the elevator all the way to the top and after watching a short film we were ready to go sit on the beam. We had the whole city on our feet! It didn't last long. They said 9 seconds but it didn't even feel like that lol. The people who work there gave us the right guidance, they were polite, smiley and patient with us. It's an attraction for the tourists mostly. Good experience for once.

"Top of the Rock" typically refers to the observation deck at the top of the Rockefeller Center in New York City. It offers stunning panoramic views of the city, including iconic landmarks like the Empire State Building and Central Park. Visitors can enjoy the breathtaking scenery day or night, making it a popular destination for tourists seeking a memorable skyline experience.

You go up to the 70th floor and there are security checks. There is an indoor and outdoor view. The outdoors is smaller, but can still capture the beautiful view of New York.

I was vorn&raised in NYC, left 23yr ago to the Hudson Valley, but still love to visit the places that bring me total zen, and this is the spot. I went up on a Tuesday morning at 930am, and it was so peaceful up there, there's benches where u can sit and take it all in. Some of the other observation decks in NYC are very crowded & higher up so the vibe is quite different here. I appreciate the friendly staff & also the people who were up there also, as they weren't rude & gave everyone some space.
Great views, go early to prevent overcrowding & enjoy the beauty of New York

Very nice view from the Rockefeller Center. It's different enough from the One World Observatory since you have a better view of Brooklyn and Central Park. It's outdoors, so you feel a nice breeze.

Had such an amazing time here. The views are amazing, and you get such beautiful pictures. And you can stay as long as you want without feeling rushed. I loved it. I think it's worth the price.

Incredible!! It has incredible views of the city, especially of central park. Definitely recommend buying tickets ahead of time, like most things in the city. I recommend top of the rock over Empire State!

Inside the line management is a little confusing but there are lots of people there to help. The bathroom on the 66th floor is a nightmare, so I would definitely wait or go before!
