Went here around 9pm at night and was actually glad that there is a place open until midnight for a decent size group.
Unfortunately our beef teriyakis were hard as a rock and the 2 youngest kids that ordered ramen took an hour and a half to be made.
From what it looks like is that they have one waiter, one sushi chef, and one person in the back cooking everything else.
Seems like short staff based on hours that are not "as busy". But come on ramen that takes an hour and a half to cook? There's no one there but us. Waiter and sushi chef should be helping in the back if there's nothing for them to do.
Everyone was done eating and the kids didn't receive their food yet. By the time I stood up and just told them to make the 2 ramen to go. They were just about to serve it. We had them pack it up. Just very disappointing from beginning to end.
I should have complained in the beginning about the food quality but the place doesn't really give good vibes of professionalism (waiter didn't even check on us, meaning update us on our food or apologized for waiting) I was afraid they might do something to the rest of the foods coming out.
Lessons learned. Stay away from this place around night time I guess. I don't know how their food quality on a different time.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jul 27, 2024
This is a late night type of restaurant located in a neighborhood area. I used to go around the area when they had a gym but that closed down many years ago. I believe this spot was a noodle spot before? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Both times that I dined here, it was getting late and this was the closest place that was open for bigger parties. The first time, we took up most of the restaurant, which isn't saying much since it only fits a few tables.
The windows are covered so you couldn't tell if the place was open or not.
The food was good for its price and location. Wouldn't say it's the best but it's a hang out, late night type of sushi spot. The ratings I give on yelp is overall experience but it should be categorized by casual dining to Michelin dining. I would give this place 3.5-4 stars in terms of casual sushi dining with its low price point and convenience (late night) since it is so close to the city, it wouldn't be comparable.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Steven W.Danville, CA68471Jul 12, 2024Updated review

Allie's Daddy's Sushi hits all the right spots for a local sushi joint. They are playing karaoke hits for Chinese parents in the background, the NBA finals in the foreground, and all kinds of noisy familial staff that are on top of your order in the midground. I ordered sashimi and several classic rolls to get the party started.
The three main tuna-salmon-yellowtail slices compares well to my favorite takeout sushi spot, but the rolls are refined enough to be gourmet. We were here for happy hour and it wasn't too busy. Katsu was crispy, saba was well-cooked.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Feb 14, 2024
Another 19th hole destination for us.
I've eaten here twice now in the last six months. I can't recall what I had before but I'm sure it was good cuz we came back today.
We were going to eat next door but there was a wait. So we popped in around 1pm. No one else eating here.
We were given three different menus: 1) all day HH 2) standard spiral menu with photos of the food and 3) daily special lunch.
It's standard practice for us to ask for separate checks as some folks will order alcohol and others don't. We were obliged.
Hubby ordered the poke bowl which was a Monday special but we were there Tuesday. It turned out you can order what you want on the daily lunch special irregardless of what day it is.
I went with the salmon teriyaki and four piece California roll bento box.
Portion size - on the small size. My salmon was maybe 1/2 thick. My bento was just enough.
Hubby's poke bowl was small too. Poke was cut small. Just enough to satisfy the palate.
The sushi rice was very fresh.
The best part was his large Kirin beer off the HH menu. $5.00.
Overall a good lunch.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 2 - Jun 7, 2024
I've been here 3 times now and overall I can say this place is just mid. If you're looking for a cheap bite that is open late, this is your place! They have all day happy hour and really cheap beer & sake and even 2 for $20 rolls. I wouldn't really come here to eat for the food, I'd just come here to hangout, grab some drinks, and small bites. This place isn't busy at all.

Ate at Allie Daddy's Sushi by default. Tried to eat next door but it was packed and we didn't want to wait. No one was in Allie Daddy's? We were able to pick any table because there was no one in the restaurant?
It was a Tuesday but server said we can order any day special off the menu.
Hubby ordered the Thursday bento special of Salmon Teriyaki with four pieces of California roll. Salad was okay, dressing was good. Sushi roll was good, rice seemed fresh.
I ordered the Friday bento special of Salmon Teriyaki with Tempura. Salmon portion was on the small side. Tempura was good.
Beer was from the Happy Hour price so great deal, $3 for small and $5 for large. Overall food was good.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Sep 20, 2023Previous reviewWe have eaten here twice now after a game of 18 hole golf. They have lunch bento box specials on different days of the week. Food is decent. Service and prices are good. Nice clean remodeled establishment. My one complaint would be the workers take a break outside in front of the restaurant door to smoke and the smoke comes back into the restaurant. Both times we've eaten there, the cigarette smoke coming back in the open front door left a bad impression.

New to the area so of course checking out some local spots. We're dealing with a renovation so the lack of fresh food at the house is leaving us yearning for something not heated up in a microwave or toaster oven so sushi it was.
We came on a weekday around 5pm and we were the only ones there. My 4 year old wanted to sit at the sushi bar so we did. We got 3 rolls -- Lion King, Caterpillar, and Dragon as well as soft shell crab, and agedashi tofu. I was craving ramen but they didn't have it although it was listed as a daily special. They have an All Day Happy Hour menu which is amazing. We'll have to come back for the sake when we don't have our son with us (-; sushi was straightforward and yum.
All of that plus friendly service cost us about 60 bucks. Not bad at all. We'll be back to try more items on the menu. Thank you!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 25, 2023
Ordered mostly from the Happy Hour menu.
Quality/Quantity -
Chicken Karaage - This was good, freshly deep fried Breaded well with good flavors.
Age-Dashi Tofu - Winner for our table, but not for me. The tofu was too soft for me, but perfect for everyone else.
California Roll - Good.
Tempura Roll - Good, my daughter's favorite.
Spicy Tuna Roll - My favorite, but I like spicy.
Haru Roll - Needed to be rolled tighter; it came apart when we tried to pick it up.
Philadelphia Roll - Comped as we did not order. I actually liked this roll and will order it next time.
Happy Saba Shioyaki - My wife thought she was ordering soba noodles, but ended up really liking this fish.
Also available - Lunch specials, daily special, soft opening specials, etc. See pictures.
Also available - Appetizers, salad, robata, entrees, noodle & soup, dessert, etc.
Atmosphere - Small local restaurant.
Indoor seating.
Open 7 days a week & days a week from 11 am or noon till midnight.
Single unisex bathroom.
Free wifi.
Mall parking, very small tight spaces, be safe.
Service - Okay. Gave us everything we asked for.
Had two different people service us.
Came back often to check on us.
We came for an early dinner and were the only customers here.
Price - $72 + tip. Happy hour is a good deal, thank you.
Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since opening in May of this year.Helpful 11Thanks 1Love this 11Oh no 0 - Apr 3, 2024
