And back again.. this time for the Lard Na (Thai wide rice noodles with Thick gravy and Chinese broccoli) with Pork (available with other meats as well).
Another 5 star item from House of Thai! You don't want to get this dish to go though! The gravy is slightly thickened with corn starch and that just needs to be eaten piping hot or the noodles will clump and congeal. What makes it a 5/5? Fresh rice noodles. Just the right mix of soy sauce, bean sauce, and whatever other magic dust they throw in. The right and light gravy consistency. And noodles that start separating as you fork through them. Wow! I could def eat it again tomorrow.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

We're glad you love our Tom Yum Noodle Soup. Hope to see you again soon, Ansh.
Jun 19, 2024Previous reviewBack for the best Tom Yum Noodle soup in the Bay Area! I usually go with the flat rice noodle option and a side order of fish balls.

This food was delicious! We were in the mood for Thai and all the reviews were great. We got a Waymo and headed there since we were far from it. It's full of flavor and the crispy pork was just like a dish we like in Vegas. The staff were friendly and the place was very clean. The only thing is there are a lot of homeless camps near it so if you're headed to market, you'll have to walk around it, but the restaurant is great and supposedly the camps have been removed since we've been.

Hi Eunice, thank you so much for choosing to order with us and for your kind review. We appreciate you and hope to see you again soon!
Oct 15, 2022Previous reviewgreat thai place!! service sizes are pretty decent as well.
we ordered delivery to the office and couldnt finish our curries in one sitting. the curry was good, but it also was a lot more vegetables than actual liquid curry.
just be careful ordering curry a la carte vs rice plate - my friend ordered the pumpkin curry and thought it would be with rice but it wasnt :/ - Aug 4, 20241 check-in
The fish cakes here are good and so is the thai tea! The pad thai is average. It needs more flavor. The tofu should be cooked longer and the chicken is dry. I would want to come back and try other items on the menu. The restaurant is clean even though it's located in not the best area of the city.

House of Thai is consistently delicious and high quality. I'm a big fan of the Pad Thai, the Pad Prik King, and the Nuer Kem jerky which is proper "Thai spicy" if you enjoy that kind of thing! Lately I stopped ordering from the sister restaurant "House of Thai 2" because the portion sizes dramatically shrank. Now it seems like the same thing has happened to this location. Here's a photo of Pad Prik King "a la carte" (the larger size available on the takeout menu) as it arrived. The container was about 1/3 full. Sometimes change is good, and sometimes it's not!
