Madison DeMora, Marketing Assistant & Podcast Producer

My Journey at Yardley Wealth Management

My journey at Yardley Wealth Management began when I met Mike and Rachel at the Yardley Country Club they belong to, a little over six years ago. Nearly three years ago, Mike reached out to me with a job offer, and I joined the team at Yardley Wealth Management. I started as an intern, initially focusing on background tasks such as assisting colleagues with their work and preparing materials for meetings.

One of the exciting opportunities I encountered early on was when Mike expressed interest in starting a podcast. Although I had no prior experience in podcasting, I was eager to take on the challenge. After several months of research, we successfully launched the podcast, which has now been running for over a year and four months. The journey from those initial steps to where we are today has been incredibly educational and fulfilling.

Hobbies and Activities Outside of Work

Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my family and friends. I have a niece and a nephew, ages seven and almost one, who bring a lot of joy into my life. I also enjoy going to the gym and staying active.

In my free time, I have a passion for cooking. I love discovering new recipes, trying them out, and sharing the successful ones with friends. Recently, I’ve started gardening, and I’m currently growing cucumbers with the hope of making homemade pickles. Additionally, I have been helping my boyfriend with his powder coating and sandblasting business, focusing on marketing and preparation tasks during its early stages. It’s been incredibly rewarding to watch the business grow and contribute to its development.

I also enjoy baking, particularly around the holidays. Every year, I make chocolate eclair cream puffs from scratch, which I often give as gifts or serve at holiday parties. It’s a tradition I look forward to each year.

When it comes to cooking, I have a particular fondness for Mexican and Italian cuisine. I enjoy making authentic tacos as well as a variety of pasta dishes, with vodka rigatoni being a favorite, even though it requires a significant amount of time to prepare.

A Project I’m Proud Of

One project I am especially proud of is the podcast I helped create at Yardley Wealth Management. Taking on such a large project without prior knowledge was a new experience, but I was committed to making it a success. I have always enjoyed listening to podcasts, and I applied that interest to learning the process step by step, taking meticulous notes along the way.

Listening to our first podcast and comparing it to our most recent episodes is incredibly rewarding, as it highlights the growth and progress we’ve made. This project is something I am truly proud of.

Most Fulfilling Aspects of My Role

One of the most fulfilling aspects of my role at Yardley Wealth Management is the opportunity to interview local businesses in Yardley. These interviews begin with an email or a direct message, and I am responsible for developing the questions and coordinating the interviews via Zoom. The business owners I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing are down-to-earth and inspiring, and hearing their stories is deeply rewarding. Learning about how they started and the journey they’ve taken to reach their current success is a highlight of my work.

What I Appreciate Most About Being Part of the Yardley Wealth Management Team

What I appreciate most about being part of the Yardley Wealth Management team is the supportive and welcoming environment created by my colleagues. From the very beginning, everyone has been incredibly warm and inclusive. I particularly enjoy our luncheons, where we discuss both work-related matters and our personal lives, allowing us to connect on a deeper level.

I am also immensely grateful for the opportunity that Mike and Rachel presented to me when they offered me this role. It’s a chance that I never take for granted, and I continuously appreciate their trust and support.
