This International Mandela Day we inaugurated Crestcare Malmesbury Hospital. Once the hospital officially opens in August this year, patients won’t need to travel more than 40 km to access quality, affordable healthcare. Crestcare Malmesbury Hospital features 84 beds and four advanced operating theatres, focusing on the immediate and short-term treatment of any critical or life-threatening injury, illness, or disease.  Several specialist areas such as emergency and trauma care, intensive care, and neonatal and paediatric intensive care units are also covered. Our partnership with SUMMIT Africa and Twin City as landlord not only brings critical acute care closer to communities. Every hospital bed added creates 1.5 direct jobs, and each R1 million invested in a hospital can generate an equivalent annual income for local SMMEs.
