Among her many accomplishments, her team achieved an all-time low Total Recordable Incident Frequency Rate (TRIFR) of 0.00 during her tenure at BTE Renewables, setting a groundbreaking standard for 2023. 🚀 Un accord stratégique vient d'être signé entre l’ONHYM - National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines et Storengy - ENGIE pour évaluer le potentiel en hydrogène naturel dans la zone de la Meseta Côtière au Maroc. 🌍 Ce partenariat, signé par Mme Amina Benkhadra, Directrice Générale de l’ONHYM, et M. Alain Caracatzanis, Directeur Général de Storengy SAS, marque une avancée majeure pour le développement de l'hydrogène naturel au Maroc. L’hydrogène naturel offre des perspectives prometteuses pour la production d'hydrogène bas-carbone à des coûts compétitifs, en complément de l'hydrogène renouvelable. Encore à ses débuts à l'échelle mondiale, l'exploration de cette ressource place le Maroc en précurseur, avec l'ONHYM à la barre de cette initiative pionnière. La région de la Meseta Côtière, identifiée comme zone prospective, pourrait ainsi tirer parti de cette ressource pour décarboner ses industries. Ce partenariat est le résultat du travail acharné des équipes de l'ONHYM, notamment warda naja, Mustapha Chaib et Othman SADKI, ainsi que de Storengy, représenté par Constant MATON et Olivier Lhote, avec le soutien d'ENGIE Afrique du Nord, représenté par son Directeur régional Loïc Jaegert-Huber. At a ceremony with our partners, key stakeholders, and provincial government, we celebrated breaking ground on the construction of the Grootspruit solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant in the Free State! 🌞 The plant, with a contracted capacity of 75 MW, will be built and operated by ENGIE in partnership with Pele Green Energy. 🤝 The Grootspruit plant is set to power up South Africa’s electricity grid ⚡️ and meet the needs of approximately 80,000 households 🏡. 🇪🇬 Constructing projects is always the best part of any initiative, and our Red Sea Wind Energy project in #Egypt is no different! 🌬️ This impressive 500MW #onshorewind project is making significant progress. The mechanical assembly of 47 wind turbines is complete, and preparations are underway to start generating the first batch of #cleanenergy for the Egyptian grid as soon as the substation is energized. ⚡ The installation of the substation is progressing smoothly, and it will soon be connected to the grid, initiating the supply of green energy to Egypt. 🌿 A big thank you to our on-ground teams and our contractors, Orascom Development Egypt and Goldwind, for their outstanding performance in achieving 3 million safe working man-hours to reach this key milestone. 👏 #withENGIE #RenewableEnergy #OnshoreWind
