On Women's Day, Totalsports Safe-Hub in Alexandra and Gugulethu/Manenberg Safe-Hub celebrated the power of women through an inspiring Women in Business and Leadership event.   Exceptional female leaders shared their journeys, empowering attendees with stories of resilience and determination. This year sees the 21st running of the Totalsports Women’s Race. Arguably one of the most iconic mass participation runs on the sporting calendar. A run that exists to celebrate women. This year is no exception with a sold out series event - with 30 000 women taking to the roads of Durban, Cape Town & Johannesburg. Sharing the race with some of Africa’s fastest 10km runners, is an absolute privilege. I am so incredibly privileged to be able to be part of this celebration of women & running in South Africa. Celebrating her Totalsports Women’s Race debut, this was only Christine Njoki’s second appearance in Durban. Just under a month ago, on July 7, she secured the SA all-comers record in the city. Although the record eluded her this time, she finished the race in an impressive 31 minutes, just 23 seconds shy of her personal best and the SA all-comers record.
