She spends her day managing correspondence with sales representatives, processing bank statements and payments, and addressing customer queries. Janine also plays a crucial role in coordinating with warehouse personnel to ensure the safe return of stock items, preventing them from getting lost in transit. Meet Thuto Masiga, a Pick-Up Shop Sales Consultant in Vereeniging who started working at Würth in May 2023. His day starts with careful planning and organizing of tasks, focusing on administrative duties and preparing for the day ahead. A substantial part of his day is spent going online to identify potential customers nearby and inviting them to visit the shop. Thuto also enjoys keeping in touch with existing customers, updating them about the latest promotions and events at the shop. Thuto values the diverse challenges that come with his role. Engaging with different people has pushed him out of his comfort zone, and even rejections have provided valuable lessons in building new relationships. He finds motivation in the monthly campaigns meant to energize the sales team, aspiring to be recognized as a winner. While he hasn't won yet, he remains optimistic and eager for the opportunity. This week, our George shop celebrated its 19th anniversary, having officially opened on July 22, 2005! This was the first Würth shop in South Africa, established 35 years after Würth South Africa Co.(Pty.) Ltd. began trading. This marked the start of our journey into multichannel retail, providing our customers with an additional point of contact. Originally located at 62 York Street, the George shop moved to George Industria in 2018 to be closer to our customers. Since then, we’ve opened many more shops nationwide to better serve our customers' immediate needs.
