It’s simple, we all get distracted, we all face daily challenges and emergencies and we all have tasks that we would rather not do. For me, the key is planning: prioritising all tasks and then items within a task such as research, 3rd party reliance et al and working backwards from an internally set due date prior to the required deliverable date

You're negotiating a contract. What are the most common mistakes to avoid?
Over years of negotiating contracts I’ve learnt that being prepared and understanding the desired outcome, risks and consequences of a deal is key. Negotiations cannot be a zero-sum game, cannot be emotional and must always focus on the best outcome for the parties in a transparent and balanced manner but to do all of this, knowing what’s in the document is essential.
