Over the past 8 years I have led the business to grow by 5x.
Sales, Market Share, Talent, DEI, Localization, Operational Excellence and Profitability are my benchmarks for success. Now approaching 400 restaurants and 15,000 people the next chapter looks exciting. New imperatives like technology, digitization, modernization, 4IR and Brand Purpose will play a bigger role, but I always remind myself that people and culture will remain the competitive advantage.
I trained as a civil engineer and over and beyond the Hamburger Retail business, has vast experience in construction, project management, real estate, supply chain, marketing, brand and of course profitability.
I believe that in order to lead you have to have followed. My personal philosophy is to impact people’s lives positively, and to be known as a “Mensch” - a good person who does good things. A good husband, a good father and a good friend.
