I have a Mac Studio M2, and needed to connect my two NVME drives directly to the Mac, and move my Thunderbolt monitor connections (2) to the dock. I also wanted to USB ports on the front for occasional use.

This product's configuration fit the bill exactly. All of the "permanent" connections (power, Thunderbolt 4 monitors, Ethernet) are in the back keeping cables from coming out the front.

It appears very well built, and so far, it has given me zero problems.

Disappointing - Couldn't use multiple ports at once for Data

Yes, it charges devices fine, but the main reason for a docking station is to use multiple ports at the same time. For me, when I connected two monitors, only one would work. I tried different cables and setups, but nothing helped.

UGREEN support asked a bunch of questions and after back and forth a lot of emails they couldn't figure out the issue. The only solution they offered was to return it to Amazon. For the price, I expected a product that actually works as advertised.

Even if it was a faulty unit, this reflects poor quality control on their part. Better to try other brands.

This dock has worked flawlessly when connected to both my Windows 11 laptop as well as my Macbook Pro. It works exactly as I expected, and keeps the laptops charged when connected. The only thing I can't figure out is getting full refresh rates when connecting to external display - for whatever reason I can't get it to operate at full speed using HDMI - but it works at the full 240hz when using a displayport to usb-c cable. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Even made sure I was using different HDMI 2.1 cables with the same results.

Nicely designed dock, power supply could be better

I really like the design and feel of this dock. It's a solid block of metal but relatively compact for travel. It has three 10 gig USB-A ports on the front, with a gigabit ethernet port on the back along with Thunderbolt hub with three ports.

The Thunderbolt ports can be used for video output with the appropriate dongle, additional USB-C devices, etc. This works fine on my Mac and with my Macbook Pro I was able to output two 4k60hz displays and still have room for my 10 gig thunderbolt ethernet adapter. Note that the Macbook Air only allows for one display out.

I'm not a fan of the power adapter. At first it was nice to see a small GAN power supply vs. the enormous bricks most of these docks come with. But it's also a bit limiting. I don't like these large power supplies that hang off the wall. This one behaves like the others I have in that it often slowly slides out of the socket. A short extension cable might be the better way to go with this.

It also only provides 85 watts of power to the host laptop. While this is adequate for smaller laptops, larger ones like the Macbook Pro operate best with 100 watts. There's no harm in running the laptop with less but sometimes it might need to draw off the battery under load or not charge it.

Bottom line: great design but I would have preferred the power supply have the option for a regular power cord to attach to the outlet and delivered more power to the host device.

Ever wanted to expand your notebook? Wondering how you can get extra operability from a notebook with only one or two USB ports? Well, this will do the trick. This docking station enables significant expansion of a notebook’s power and features while preserving convenience and speed.

The Thunderbolt 4 ports enable significant thru-put. Although I have not tested the speed, I do believe it is using a significant amount of the 40Gbps available to Thunderbolt 4. The ability to attach extra monitors is great too. I’ve connected an older display that I had sitting around and can say that it works easily with two monitors.

It is also a relatively compact size, so it won’t take up too much space on your desk.

The sole issue I have is that this may be a bit pricey. Otherwise, a truly great product.

UGREEN is growing on me as a product line, it sure seems like they have designs on being a true Anker competitor and maybe even a little more. They recently moved into the NAS space too, which is, weird maybe, but kind of cool. Anyway this Thunderbolt dock is definitely a little pricy, but it is well-made and performative. Tested on both windows and linux with great results, it will do the job for you. Top spec data transfer speeds, video carrier and laptop charging, it does it all, it does it well. There's so many different docks out there and so many different use cases, it's impossible to know what ports YOU need, what performance YOU need. But if you read the specs on this one and look at the ports, and think that it may be a fit, I can tell you that it is. Great product.
