Nat Barr has revealed doctors have found a skin cancer on her face.

On Tuesday, the Sunrise star revealed she had a “pimple” on her nose, that would not go away, prompting her to see a dermatologist.

“I’ve had this pimple on my nose, it’s been about three weeks. It keeps going up, down, up, down, won’t go away,” Nat explained.

Using AI, including a Spectrascope, the specialist diagnosed the 3mm lesion as cancerous.

Barr got a score of 7.4, with anything over seven considered cancerous.

“That was so tiny, it was just a tiny little red thing. He also takes photos of your whole body and puts it in the AI machine,” Barr said.

“So, when you go back a year later, the AI machine can detect whether there has been a change quicker and better than the human eye can.”

She was later diagnosed with a skin cancer following a biopsy.

Barr was told she would need to use an anti-cancer cream in order to treat the lesion.

The TV anchor also underwent red light therapy, which also selectively kills cancer cells.

Barr said the diagnosis really made her think.

Barr said the outlook for her health is fine, with her next appointment on Friday.

“It’s covered by make-up (now).

“I do the same process this Friday, and then it gets all crusty, and then it will be fine,” Barr said.

“It’s just a good reminder for everyone. Remember to get your skin checked regularly.”
