State health department launches statewide dementia awareness campaign

Denver (August 15, 2024) —The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has launched a statewide campaign to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias among Coloradans.

The new “Talk About Dementia” campaign encourages Coloradans who are experiencing signs of Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia to talk about it with their loved ones and health care providers as soon as possible. The earlier dementia is detected, the greater their opportunity to participate in planning for care.
