Ingredients
Yield:4 servings
- 1small loaf of french bread, like a baguette
- 1large garlic clove, peeled
- 2tablespoons olive oil
- 4tablespoons Parmesan cheese or Romano
Preparation
- Step 1
Preheat broiler.
- Step 2
Rub the outside of the bread with the garlic. Cut the bread into slices about ¼-inch thick.
- Step 3
Arrange the slices on a baking sheet and brush one side with oil.
- Step 4
Place under the broiler until lightly browned on one side. Turn and repeat.
- Step 5
Top each crouton with the Parmesan cheese. Place under the broiler until golden brown.
