Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Shares of AMJ Land Holdings, HPL Electric Power, Essar Shipping, Railtel Corp and Career Point, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 11:05AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 262.8 points to 24578.75 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as SecUR Credentials, Praxis Home Retail, JP Associates, Shyam Telecom and GIR Natureview, touched their fresh 52-week low.

Overall, 39 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 11 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, TCS, LTIMindtree, Wipro, Infosys and Shriram Finance were among top gainers, while Divis Labs, Apollo Hospital, Asian Paints, Maruti Suzuki and Hindalco traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 925.79 points up at 80823.13 at 11:05AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Fertilisers, Petrochemicals, Term Lending Institutions, Defence and Packaging sectors, while selling was visible in Beverages - Alcoholic, Airlines, Auto, Gems and Jewellery and ReIT sectors.
