"Hate On Me" is a song by American singer Jill Scott. It was written by Scott along with Adam Blackstone and Steve McKie for her third studio album, The Real Thing: Words and Sounds Vol. 3 (2007), while production was helmed by Blackstone. The song was released as the album's lead single and peaked at number 24 on the US Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. "Hate On Me" also earned her a Grammy nomination in 2008, for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.[1]

The song was recorded by the cast of American television series Glee, and was performed in first season episode, Throwdown. It is also featured on the soundtrack album, Glee: The Music, Volume 1.
